The Truth

Inspired by Tina Boukes latest poem, a tongue in cheek look at the truth

I hate the truth
It gets in the way of all my beliefs
Makes me look at things differently
At least differently than I wish them to be
It spoils my responses to questions
Ruins my reactions to situations
It just in general hampers me
And yet the damned truth
Never gets out of my face
Never lets me alone for a minute
It has no tact, is not polite
Will not just stand aside nicely
So I am forced each day to deal with it
Whether I chose to or not
Damned truth

Sue, when someone demands "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" ./// why do they get pissed off when you tell it? Bill
