The Angels talked among themselves after watching hundreds of people evacuating their homes, boarding up properties, gathering food, water, and emergency equipment to sustain their loved ones in a time of natural disaster.
"Remember the year 1999," one said, addressing the others, "Everyone was planning for possible adversities as the end of the year approached. "
Another one nodded, "I remember, all eyes watched as the stroke of midnight brought in the New Year. "What if everyone knew the exact day of Christ's return? Would they rush to make preparations for their souls? Would they share with urgency the news of salvation with the unsaved?"
A strong and loving voice sounded in their ears, "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed." (Luke 17:26-30 NIV)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." (John 3:16, 17 NIV)
