Reflecting back, I journey back to April 10, 1980. A day to remember, a glorious wonderful event. It was a changing transformation of my life. A new turn over from darkness into His glorious light. April 10, the day of my salvation which changed my life in just a twinkling of an eye.

“Twinkling of an Eye”

“Behold; I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and sup with him, and he with Me.” Reflecting back, I journey back to April 10, 1980. A day to remember, a glorious wonderful event. It was a changing transformation of my life. A new turn over from darkness into His glorious light. April 10, the day of my salvation which changed my life in just a twinkling of an eye. How true are thy words and promises oh Lord! “We shall be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Shedding the old and putting on the new, like a snake that sheds its old skin. It took nothing of myself. All my good works couldn’t measure up. I fell so short in my life and all my works were like filthy rags. The grace of God said to my heart. Repent. Know that I am God. Shed the old man and I will make you a new creature for me and my glory. Now blossoming like a spring flower my soul blooms forth in praises of You and Your kindness to all who will dare to accept You as Lord, discarding the old and putting on the new. I entered in with You into a battle against darkness and sin. Things which are killers of men, to a reaching out toward light and goodness. Leaving behind the bitterness, the fear, the loneliness and despair. In faith I spoke the words,”Mirror of my soul, open wide and receive the salvation offered of the Lord.” Unto this very purpose is my life destined. Ever present and day to day, I feel Your impression upon my mind, molding me, and perfecting my thoughts into Your will. I now let my eyes open up and reflect back the illumination of Your presence within, to shine forth for all the world to see. How great is my Lord and Savior? Aware of even the tiniest of seashells, and yet greater than the atmospheric expanses of the skies. Your word says. “It is right to give Him thanks and praise”. As I praise You my king, search my heart and filter out all vain impurities and imaginations. Daily reset the pure golden image of Your most precious love. Your purification knocks at the door of my soul, saying. “Soul, soul purify thyself. Allow the Word of the living God to renew your mind. Reach upward to the God of thy salvation.” Continue to smooth out the edges of the brim of my life’s cup Lord, and make me a golden cup for drinking, offered to anyone who wants to come to the well to drink. Even out the thought processes that pattern in my mind. Let my thoughts be Your thoughts. If need be, turn my thoughts around and set my feet on solid ground each day. I now know that this love You show me is not just for me, but for anyone who is thirsty. You are in the cup making, and the water serving business. “Come to me all you who are burdened and heavy ladened, and I will give you rest.” Quenching thirst is the first step in spiritual first aid. Thank you so much Jesus for your changing word. I truly was thirsty, and You did indeed give me to drink. I was blind but now I see.
