Paean Twenty was written for the United States of America on November 21, 2000. It was on this Tuesday at 1:24 A.M. that I recorded and set this in writing as I listened to the Lord...

"Division in the Land"

Praise be Your Name, the God of Abraham, Moses, David and Solomon. I call upon You, Oh Lord, for our nation. There is division between the people, Oh Lord, in the land of the United States of America. A division, the vary awareness of the battle between good and evil. Oh Lord, I beseech You to keep Your hand on this very nation. Look not away from Your people. I beseech You Lord and pray for our country, the United States of America. May she rise up and look upward and onward to a new beginning in You. Forgive her for her many sins against You. She has fallen from her first love, which is You. Her robes are no longer white as snow; they are discolored and tainted. She has taken Your Commandments out of the schools and replaced it with idolatrous and blasphemous ideas. America cries out for freedom in You, Oh Lord. She searches You out and I pray that she will turn from her wicked ways. America's new generation has become like unto the snail. Slow to learn and a rebellious generation. Her children are illiterate and undisciplined and she has fallen from You, Oh Lord. Look down on her from above and set her straight in her ways. Teach her to return to You, Oh Lord. Forgive her and choose for her a leader, one mighty and fearful of Your ways. For in fearing You, Oh Lord, she will return to her first love, which is You, the Almighty. A country united to withstand the attacks of the evil one. In God I trust, I seek You alone. You are the Lord who made the heavens. Your works are greater than all others. There is none like unto You. You alone are the Holy One. Above all that is, You stand and watch. Open our hearts, Oh Lord, and help us to renew ourselves in You. I cry out to the Most High seeking Your wisdom for a people who have turned their backs on You. Let the righteous become strong and the bold speak out to defend our Faith. Move the hearts of Your people and let them know that You are the one, true , living God. Lord; use me a broken vessel, humble in thought and deed to hear Your voice. Cry out to us now and give us a future in You. I listen and see You standing across the great expanse of this world, over-shadowing it just with Your mighty hand alone. Take hold of this country and lead her back to You. May her schools be filled with love and replace the values with uprighteous ways. May she see the hand of God move and stir up her people. Breathe down on her and let her know the strength and power that You control her with. America is like a ship that is lost at sea. She is tossed to and fro in her wavering statutes. I cry out for justice and mercy, Oh Lord! Steer her in the right direction. NO MORE DIVISION IN THE LAND... Lord, I listen now to Your voice, " I THE LORD, YOUR GOD HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU, YET YOU FAIL TO OBEY MY VERY COMMANDS. YOU PROFANE MY NAME AND HAVE REPLACED IT WITH AN UNTRUSTING, WAVERING HEART. RETURN TO ME THE LORD, YOUR GOD AND I WILL MAKE STEADY THE PATH THAT YOU AMERICA SHALL EMBARK ON. BE NOT AFRAID FOR YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I THE LORD, YOUR GOD WILL FREE YOU FROM THIS BONDAGE IF YOU SERVE ME AND ME ALONE. LOOK UPWARD AND SEEK THE FACE THAT "I AM". IF YOU RETURN TO ME, I WILL LEAD YOU ON TO SUCH GREATNESS THAT YOU THE AMERICA HAVE NEVER KNOWN. YOU, AMERICA, SHALL BE LIKE UNTO MY SOLOMON. BLEST IN ALL AREAS AND A MIGHTY FORTRESS SHALL SHIELD THE BANKS OF YOUR SHORES. IF YOU HEARKEN TO MY VOICE I WILL LEAD YOU BY DAY. A GREAT CLOUD WILL HOVER OVER YOU AND STEER YOU ONWARD. BY NIGHT I WILL LIGHT UP THE NIGHT SKIES AND SHINE ON YOU. IF YOU RETURN NOT TO ME, DESTRUCTION SHALL ENCAMP AT YOUR SHORES AND YOUR ENEMIES WILL OVERTHROW YOUR PEOPLE. THERE IS NOW A MOVEMENT THAT SWEEPS THE LAND, SEEKING POSSESSION OVER IT, IN ALL WICKEDNESS. SILENTLY IT CREEPS INTO YOUR SCHOOLS, YOUR GOVERNMENT AND EVEN INTO EACH OF YOUR VERY OWN LIVES. SET YOURSELF FREE AND CRY OUT IN THE STREETS, "FREEDOM I SEEK TO SERVE THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD." RESET MY STATUTES AND COMMANDMENTS BACK IN PLACE IN YOUR SCHOOLS AND TEACH YOUR PEOPLE TO SERVE ME. THEN SHALL MY EAR BE INCLINED TO LISTEN TO YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATIONS. I AM THE DEFENDER OF GREAT NATIONS, THE SHIELD THAT GUARDS YOUR SHORES, AND THE ARMOR THAT PROTECTS YOUR VERY LIVES. SEEK ME OUT AND I WILL OVERTHROW THE EVIL ONE WHO HAS ENCAMPED ON YOUR VERY OWN SHORES. I AM THE "I AM", OF THIS UNIVERSE. ALL GLORY AND HONOR IS MINE. RETURN TO ME, OH REBELLIOUS PEOPLE." I seek only You, Oh Lord! I will listen and record that which You give me. Direction and guidance I will follow by Your mighty hand. Oh Lord, I praise You. I worship You, and I adore You.
