Tom's Mum wished to visit her son at his University after four weeks of what she thought would be integration and hard work. She called him the night before to make sure he would be in.
"Hi Mom, Yeah it will be great to see you but...the security...ummm....have you got a pen handy?"
"Yes darling. What do I have to do to get in?"
"Well park in the outside car park then go to the University gate. Ring the bell with your elbow and push gently with your shoulder and enter".
"Ok, I've got that."
"Then go to my college and at the door, ring the bell with your elbow and press against the door with your shoulder. Walk along the corridor to the lift. I am on the sixth floor. So press the lift door with your elbow and open the sliding doors with your shoulder."
"Ok, I'm writing all this down."
"Nearly there. Walk along the sixth floor and my room's the last on the level. Press the bell with your elbow and I'll answer it."
"Ok but Tom, why do I have to press all these doors with my elbow and push with my shoulder?"
"Well Mum, You're not coming empty handed are you?"
