We elected Mr. Schwarzenegger as our governor because Mr. Davis could not do the job, but little did we know that all the stories that Mr. Schwarzenegger told to get elected would not come true . He promised to balance the budget, but we are in more debt then before.

Now that proposition 66 (to amend the three strikes law) has not passed we are left wondering what happened. Let’s look into this conflict. For months supporters wanted to amend the three strikes law because the tax payers where paying 30 thousand a years to incarcerate each non-violet offenders. Prop 66 would have sentenced them to the term that the crime fitted. It would "not" let violent criminals go in three months like the governor said. We are talking about the addicts, who if we would get help for he/she would not be an addict. The mentally ill person who is forced to go to jail because the institutions are closing down because of budget cuts. The homeless that are out on the streets, who yes, do steal just to survive. Yet we lock them up to say “OUT OF SIGHT-OUT OF MIND." Again the voters were misled.

 I listened for months on the radio and television blast the Insurance broker who put up the millions of dollars for prop. 66 to get it on the ballot. There was talk that he wanted to get his son out, but this is not true . His son has a D.U.I. which people died in the accident. His son would not have gotten out, he would of had been sentenced.

No where did I hear on radio nor television that Mr. Schwarzenegger spent 4 millon dollars himself to oppose the law. Now this made me think, what was in it for him? Why in the last six days before the election did he get on television with a commercial behind him and say that prop.66 would let out murders, rapist, and child molesters? Now in the commercial the guys that were in the pictures behind him, one is on death row, and two others are dead already? There was no way that the people in those pictures where even getting out. This he used to scare the people of California with. He even got ex governors like Wilson, and Davis to back him, why?

 This is why? The department of corrections makes millions of dollars a year off the inmates. Though cheap labor, cutting there visits, cutting their meals down to two a day, not getting medical help that they need and the list goes on. California has found a way to make million every year off of the tax payers money. Prisoners are being stuffed in cells like a can of sardines,

What happened to trying to help people? Do we even care anymore? When does money and power count more then a human life? There is not one perfect person in this world, but many want us to believe that the rich and powerful are perfect. We were lied to at the last minute because the polls showed that the people were ready to amend the three strikes law. He talks about that we are save? From what?

Now when we run out of room in California to put these so called dangerous criminals away, and they start building new prisons in your back yard, I don’t want to hear, “WHY ARE YOU BUILDING A NEW PRISON HERE?”

 Since when is money worth more then the human life? When is lies more important then truth? This is what California has shown, the rich keeps getting richer and the poor will go to prison or die. We need to look deep down into our souls and search what we have done, why should we worry about a no body. The movie stars and sport stars get away with murder, but this what we call our golden state of California. “The State where money and power rule."

 I will be keeping in my article section of all the true stories that I have post for the last two years about the three strikes law. One of the stories, “CONCRETE DREAMS THAT BIND THE CHAINS OF HOPE”, Mr. Chard is dying of hepatitis C. They are getting ready to move him in his last days, but why should we the state of California care. He is a no body without money, and if he did have money do you really think he would have a third strike in the first place? We will continue to fight for what is right. The fight for a man or woman to be human and not treated like they are sub-human.
