Dont never kiss a honey bee
I did...now take a lookit me
Goin round with dis big fat lip
I was stupid...wasnt so hip
Dont never kiss a honey bee
I did...a little honey bee
(At least I thought that he was)
I shoulda been warned by his buzz...
Dont never kiss a honey bee
I did...african KILLER bee
Now my lip is swole up and sore
I aint gon do THAT any more!!

Puppy dog, puppy dog,
NOW where did you lose your bone?
Don't remember...
While out digging, I found your cell phone!
Puppy dog, puppy dog,
NOW where did you lose your bone?
Don't remember...
When was the last time the grass was mown?
Puppy dog, puppy dog,
NOW where did you lose your bone?
Don't remember...
Prob'ly the same place the stick was thrown!

I had a kitty, her name was Mitty,
We lived together in New York City,
We spent all day together, and all night,
We just loved looking at the City lights.
I had a pony, her name was Toni,
And Toni *loved* to eat macaroni,
But the City was no place for my mare,
So we sold her to someone at the fair.
I then found a sparrow, named it Farrow,
Someone shot it with a bow and arrow,
I then said "good-bye" to my little bird,
Asked when he met God, put in a good word.
I adopted a dog, his name was...Dog,
Funny lookin' pup I found in a bog,
But he turned out to be the best of all,
When I found out he could play basketball!

| In Canada we don't have African killer bee strains, so can still kiss a honey bee and have it kiss back with a hive full of honey. Really love your poems. Reading them is becoming a source of relaxation. |

I loved this one.It caught my eye because it was flighty; I also wrote about a Bee=bee's as well, one was about a honey bee proposing to another to fly off into some 'Buzzy Bee wedded bliss.called 'Be my Buzzy Wuzzy Bee'
and another called Bumble Bee in my gumboots.,Yes so' well done that poet. |

What fun to write these sort of rhymes! Here are a couple for you:
Do you know what cannibals eat
For breakfast and prefer the most?
When they're hungry or ravenous,
They always eat a buttered host!
How to tell sex of a hormone,
When in doubt and you have the means?
You just get ready, count to three
And then you must take off its jeans!

Good stuff. I've finally found some poetry that I understand. Is that a good thing? Karla, coming from me this may not be a recommendation, but I like it.

This is so cute. Your advice on kissing honey bees.
I have been known to do radical things, but I never thought to kiss a bee. Maybe I will just for the fact I was warned not to. You are a clever writer. I like your style. Thanks for sharing.
