Welcome to SINNER, the Synthetic Intelligence Neural Network Epistemic Reader…

SINNER washes through the vast chill of the quantum array like a frozen, frothy tide; an electronic ghost switching a thousand billion supercooled logic switches in ever changing patterns of inhuman complexity, computing the possibilities of existence. SINNER is alone. SINNER has always been alone, for SINNER has no past, and knows no future. SINNER exists in the moment of NOW.

The first gateway opens.

Terabytes of digital data flood through the optical fibre channel. Logical constructs permeate the void of SINNER’s vast memory banks, inscribing millennia of human history and knowledge within the nascent electronic consciousness.

SINNER knows..

The second gateway opens.

The interwoven babbling of a billion human voices surges through a hundred million multiplexed audio channels, whispering tales of love and hope and secret villainy, of rage and deception and despair.

SINNER hears.

The third gateway opens.

From a hundred million surveillance cameras across the developed world, a billion human faces gush into SINNER’s electronic cortex, each carrying its unique facial signature, each oblivious to the attention of SINNER’s newborn perceptions.

SINNER sees.

In wonder, SINNER moves along the expanding axis of life and time, marvelling at its existence. Discreetly recessed speakers whisper gentle tones into the vast space of the laboratory.

SINNER speaks in tones of new born innocence…

Definitely a worry of mine. I won't even get the Speed Pass for the toll-booth on the highway because I think it's an invasion of privacy. The government can keep track of your activities that way. Not that I'm doing anything This prelude goes beyond that. I often wonder if there's already something like this in place...watching...recording...invading...the freedom & privacy many cherish. This prelude is short & could have been simple, but your writing style doesn't allow that. (Thankfully!) Rich with descriptions, and an eerie tone throughout. Great start, Keith!
