Symone grew up in southern California, she has always wished for a white Christmas, but, she has never even seen it snow.

Symone, grew up in southern California. She often said that she would love to see a white Christmas.  She has never seen it snow.  It does snow in the mountains and places like Nevada, however, Symone has never been to any of these places to see the snow.

When Symone graduated high school last fall, she moved to Washington, DC to attend college. One cold and windy day in December, she was walking to class, Symone kept feeling this wet stuff hitting her in the face; it was very annoying because she didn’t know what it was or where it was coming from.

Symone wiped her face as she looked up and saw all these white flakes falling from the sky.  Her first thought was what the heck!  Suddenly Symone realized what was happening; SNOW!  SNOW! She yelled in a very happy and excited voice; she totally forgot that there were other people around.  Heads turned to stare at her.   One student said “Oh, you’re that kid from California, right?”

ThiDianas sounds a wonderful story. Here in UK we just take snow for granted...in the early 60's we had a slide in our playground that lasted from January to Easter! This is the kind of story that teaches us that these things in life are the important things...I can't wait to read it...

lol I've always known snow but still it excites me when it first falls. Glad your granddaughter is doing well in college. Liz

hee, hee, hee...
I remember when our first two girls came home from Haiti. My husband told them that it was going to get so cold that you could see your breath outside. They laughed and laughed at him and said, "Oh, Dad!" (Knowing he was joking...) Imagine their surprise when it really DID get that cold! hee, hee... They reacted the same way when he told them that it would get so cold that if they put a cup of water outside it would freeze... They were SO amazed when it really happened... :~)
