Life's just not fair
THE MOMENT
We, Meko and I sat listening to the early morning sounds of the birds waking up and the traffic on a nearby road. People rushing to work, or school. As I watched the sun coming up I realized how quickly the colors on the horizon change. One moment a golden prism splashing across the sky, then next violet and finally a robin egg blue in the cloud filled sky. All within minutes.
I leaned my head back on the cushion and thoughts drifted through my little brain about life. In the past few weeks I've talked to new mothers holding their baby for the first time, and a wife who held her husbands hand for the last time. Each of them had something in common, the moment. Time passes as quickly as the horizon changes. Life changes every minute of every day. A teen said to me, "life's not fair", expressing his disappointment at not receiving the "new game" which just came out. His mom decided to buy groceries instead.
Or comforting a man who's wife has decided divorce is the better option for the two of them. He also thinks life's not fair.
I hear from people all the time who think life isn't fair.
Jesus hung on a cross. I didn't hear him say life isn't fair. He did it for each of us.
Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
