This was certainly a story with a twist! Very deep things going on with the main character. This is my kind of story where things are not as they always seem. Enjoyed the read very much.

Outstanding job, Molly! As a former abused wife myself, I found it deeply disturbing, but I couldn't stop grinning at the end. You are one heck of a writer, lady.

Twilight Zone has always been one of my favorite shows. This work seems like it would make a great episode. Well thought out, good pacing, and a surprise ending served to make this the best short story I have read in years.

A must read!!! Molly touches the unsettling core of the living with abuse, weaves in a bit of mythical magic, and gives us a wonderfully gratifying ending! I'm sending this to all my friends.

You wove fantastic magic in this write! I was amazed from beginning to end. You held me in your spell and gave me what I needed in the release (death of the husband). Justice prevailed. It is not just a great story but one that was full of twisting original mastering. Excellent and a ten plus in my book!!!

Short stories are difficult to write I've heard, but apparently no one has informed Molly. Although I general shy away from cruelty in any form, and exist in my fairyland cocoon, I read this rendering out of respect for Molly. Though on a few occasions I've wanted to brutalize my wife similarly, but knowingly refrained since the exact opposite was a certainty. Maaan! I'm such a wimp! So, it is with sincerity that I add one additional windy superlative about her work. It was a marvelously sadistic yarn with a justifiable ending that pleased my palate all way down to me 'bloody' tonsils. Do they go that far. Does any one care. I disliked Michael before the first paragraph passed through the pupils of me eyes. That feeling intensified into sheer hate as I continued reading, my heart crying-out for the sweet Mary Jo while wondering why she'd tolerate such abuse. I even thought it unrealistic: then realized seconds later that this story happens often in the real world. Several pages passed before a premonition flung off the periphery of my aging brain screaming the despicable Michael will get his comeuppance before this story ends. So, when the mystical wolves vacated the blanket and devoured Michael alive, as portrayed in Molly's paranormal scene, I rejoiced reading her descriptive words expressing the pain and suffering I thought this man deserved. It must be akin to being eaten by cannibals. Now, having said all of that with my tongue in my cheek, I realize that it could've been said in one word: ten. You know th shortest sentence known is I do, but look at all the hell it engenders. Please Marjorie I'm not serious.
