It's about a girl who sacrifices the biggest thing she can give, to save her friends, and her love.

To save all except herself
Some say to die for any reason is bad. But what if you died not for one person but for six?
Rosalina was picked on by most and loved by few. Many thought she was bookwormish and a nerd. Others that she was gullible. Nobody paid attention to the real Rosalina.
At school she was picked and beat up. So she retreated to books. The one thing that could never hurt her. She always dreamed of a knight in shining armor for herself like the ones she red about. There was one by her side the whole time but she was to blind to see it.
Rose as she was called had three main friends: Victor, Harry, Genevieve. All though they were all friends Victor and Rose fought all the time. Genevieve and Harry both new the truth about them but they never dared to say anything. Victor and Rose both loved each other but they were to pride filled to tell each other.
Victor and Rose began dating and got along as much as two people can with high tempers.
They had only been dating for a month when Rose’s birthday came around. She was turning sixteen. They all decided they were going dancing because that was one of the many things Rose loved to do.
Dressed in a white bell skirt ball gown, Rosalina looked gorgeous.
“Oh my” Victor said as he picked her up to go.
“Do you like it?” she asked as she twirled around for him to see.
“You look beyond gorgeous” he said opening the door for her to get in the car.
“Thank you, you look beyond handsome” she said.
They were quiet until they reached “The Diamond” a popular dancing room.
“Wow Rose. You look fantastic” Genevieve said giving her a hug.
Gen was wearing a dark red gown that had off the shoulder sleeves. She look cute too.
“You look cute too”
“Thanks” she said.
“Where’s Harry?” Victor asked looking around.
“He is parking the car” she said just as Harry came back.
“Hullo Rose, Victor. Rose you look very pretty tonight”.
“Are we ready to go in?” Rose asked her cheeks beet red.
Rosalina had never received that many compliments for her looks. She usually only received compliments on her brain.
With freckles all over and not exactly the smallest person she was not considered a beauty. She was considered “nerdy” and “plain”
The four friends danced and laughed for most of the night but around 10:00 P.M a big problem happened.
A man who was drunk came in threatening everyone with a gun. Many of the people who came had left earlier. There was still six people left.
“Guess what?” the man said. “All of you are going to die”.
“What did we do to you?” Victor asked as everyone backed up.
“Everything. Why should you all be happy when my life is over?” he said his eyes never leaving the girls.
“So now what?” Rose asked raising her voice.
“You all die”
The he stopped looking at Christina and Genevieve and just looked at her.
“Unless Miss. Cutie here wants to die for all of you” the man said pointing the gun at her.
“You cant really expect her to do that” Bobby ,Christina’s date said looking from Rose to the man.
“It doesn’t matter someone is going to die. But now I have made up my mind.” he said. “If she doesn’t want all of you to die then she will die.”
“So have you made your decision, Cutie Pie?” he asked.
“Don’t call her that!” Victor said angrily.
Rosalina looked at each of her friends and made the decision that would cost her, her life. She decided that if she had to die to save all of her friends so be it.
“I will….I mean to say…….okay” she said looking at the big gun and wondering how much it would hurt.
“No! No Rosalina you can’t do that! I wont let you” Victor said holding on to her arm.
“Rosalina don’t be stupid please!” Genevieve begged.
“It’s my choice” she said no longer stuttering.
“Yes that’s right if Miss. Cutie Pie wants to die for the likes of you then let her” the man said in an unfeeling tone.
“No! Don’t do it. Why are you doing all of this? Let the police come and save us. You don’t have to do this” Harry and Victor said both of them rambling.
“Yes I do” she said looking at each of her friends.
“Come here quickly” the man said with the same cold tone.
“No!” Victor yelled. “Take me instead!”
“No. Only her” he said smiling cruelly when he saw what he was doing to him.
“Victor just let me go” Rosalina said her voice sad. “I-I. Just let me do this.”
“No. Please” he begged.
“I have to. What’s meant to be will be” she just as the man raised the gun.
“No!” everyone yelled except Rose when the man pulled the trigger.
Rosalina Johnson hit the ground after the bullet hit her stomach. She wasn’t ready for the huge amount of pain. She obviously hadn’t thought it through. Just as she fell Victor caught her.
“Why? Oh my Rose why?” he said.
Just as the man was about to run for it the cops came and arrested him. As he was being taken away they heard his cold heartless laugh. Two of the cops stayed behind to help.
“Oh my god” Gen yelled dropping to her knees.
They all went to try to help Rose but there was nothing they could do.
“Did you call an Ambulance?” Bobby asked the cops. “Yes”
“My Rose. My baby” Victor said crying. “Please don’t die!”
“V-Victor” she said trying to talk.
“Yes?” he said holding her close.
“Just re-remember t-that I l-love you” she said.
“I love you too. But don’t worry you are going to be fine” he said trying to convince himself more than her.
“I d-don’t t-think so” she said sadly.
“I--I will miss you” she said as she tried to get air into her lungs.
“No!” Victor said when he saw what was happening.
Blood bubbled out of her mouth and she died.
“No, Oh god no” he begged .
Everyone saw what had happened. Rosalina’s emerald eyes which were once filled with life and wonder were cold and empty.
“Oh god” Genevieve said unable to stop crying.
“Why her?” Victor asked.
“I’m sorry Son.” one of the cops said.
Victor laid Rose gently on the floor and kissed her cheek.
“YOUR SORRY? YOU DID NOTHING TO HELP HER!” Victor yelled angry.
“Calm down” Cop #2 said.
“YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN?! I JUST WATCHED THE LOVE OF MY LIFE DIE IN MY ARMS AND YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN?!”
“You have every right to be angry” Cop #2 said.
“I’m so sorry” #2 said.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!” Victor yelled running out of The Diamond.
“Victor!” Gen and Harry yelled.
There was nothing to do but cry over the loss of the bravest person they had ever met.
Five days later her funeral was held. After the ceremony Victor stayed to talk with Rosalina.
“Why? Why did he choose you over me? I could have taken your place”.
“You were only sixteen you didn’t deserve that. Why did you have to be so nice and brave?”
And then the unthinkable happened. He saw her. She was standing in front of him. No blood just a sad smile on her face.
“Rosalina is that really you?” he asked standing up.
She nodded and touched the tombstone.
“I miss you so much. I don’t think I can survive without you”
“You must. What happened to me was not your fault. For me you must live”
“How can I? You were my life”
“Please live for me. You must go on with your life. Do not give up because of me”.
“Please don’t ever leave me”.
“I must go. But I love you now and always”.
“I love you too”.
He felt a cool hand touch his face and take the hair out of his eyes as she had done so many times before and then she was gone.
He looked at the tombstone one last time and left. Her tombstone was the biggest in the graveyard.

Her tombstone:

Rosalina Ann Johnson

Birth: August 2, 1991
Death: August 2, 2007
Hard working, fair minded, and a fierce, fierce friend.
A girl who was kind and honest and brave and true right to the very end.
She died saving 6.
LOST BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
