While on the plane from Tennessee to Arizona....

Usually when I am on a flight, I prefer to sit quietly and rest as much as possible.  Usually I will have a book to read, and sit on an aisle seat.  Often someone will say something to me, and I'll be polite, but not necessarily encourage conversation.  This particular flight was especially long, and I had to change planes as well, plus it would be almost midnight before I reached my destination airport...then of course, the baggage and ride home.

On the first leg of the flight, in the middle seat sat a nice man who asked me about the book I was reading by John Grisham, "The Innocent Man".  I mentioned that it is the first book that Grisham has written that is a true crime story, as his books are fiction.  He mentioned that his two children are lovers of reading, and that one of his children hopes to be a journalist/writer.  Naturally, I mentioned that I am a writer, and we got into the topic of my book, "Extraordinary Visits" - Miracles through Divine Intervention, and he expressed a keen interest in this subject. Soon he was sharing several stories that would certainly fall into the spiritually uplifting category.  He asked for my business card, and we exchanged cards, as he expressed a desire to submit a couple stories for my upcoming book, the follow up to Extraordinary Visits.

After the flight change, once again I was sitting in an aisle seat, and  was fortunate enough not to have anyone sitting next to me. Across the aisle sat an attractive young man, who appeared to be a business man, perhaps in his mid-forties, who was also lucky enough not to have anyone sitting in his row.

The flight was going to be a little over four hours, and so I had purchased a salad and cold drink, and once again took out my Grisham book.  About midway through the flight, people were getting antsy and were getting up and down, stretching their legs, and in general visiting with each other.  Two young men stopped to speak with the young man sitting across from me, and they began to discuss their high school and college days. Somehow, I was asked a question about sports: I think because I was sitting so close to their conversation, and soon I was a part of their chat.

Once the two young visitors had gone back to their seats, the man across from me continued to ask me other questions, and our conversation ventured toward my book about Divine Intervention.  He was very interested in this subject and began to speak to me animatedly, discussing his childhood faith, and I found him to be quite charming.  He shared with me that he has five beautiful children and that he is madly in love with his wife...and has opportunity to go astray, but that his love for family and respect of the union of marriage is very important to him, so it was not difficult for him to maintain a good, solid marriage.

I had a better chance to look at him, and I realized that he is very handsome, well dressed, articulate, and obviously successful.  The more we spoke, he shared several personal stories with me, and I did the same....concerning divine intervention and how I came to write about this particular topic.  He and I had many similar situations altho I am old enough to be his mother, (my youngest is 36).  At one point he shared and then he said to me.... "I can tell you right now, that you have made a wonderful impression on me, and you have made me feel so blessed....validating some questions that I have had recently about my personal faith."

It is a small world, and we never know who we will meet on any given day.  I have always believed strongly that there are no "accidents"...that we are sent into the lives of others for a reason...and vice-versa.  This young man gave me a couple of stories for my future work, and I hope that I touched him in a positive way as he said.  He smiled the whole time we spoke, and he told me that he is a private person who doesn't get personal with strangers, yet we were speaking as if we had known each other our entire lives.  It was a beautiful experience for me, and he touched my life in an extremely positive way as well.

Some days life seems quite burdensome; and this day was one of those.  The month had been filled with many downs, although there had been some highs as well, and I was not feeling well in the physical sense either.  Yet....the first flight connected me with a strange young man who immediately shared touching events from his personal life.  Less than two hours later, a second young man, shared much more than miraculous events from his own life.....he gave me hope and renewed my spirit.

In fact, he said to me....I don't know why I am saying this to you....but..God wants me to tell you...."Everything is going to be just fine....everything is going to work out well."  I asked him "what do you mean, do I look as if something is wrong?"    He looked at me and said, "I'm sorry...I had no reason to say that to you...it was just as if I heard God say this to me, and he wanted me to tell you, so I did."

My new found friend said he would check out my website, and that he wanted to order a signed book.  He said he would send me a personal email, and I asked him to be sure to remind me that he had met me on the flight to Phoenix.
Miracles happen in small ways, and this encounter, my second one for the day....was truly Gods way of sending me His word through a messenger who had no idea of the emotional pain that I have been under for several weeks.

We parted ways at the airport, and I realized that this could have been a quiet, uneventful day on two flights...instead I had met two angels in the sky....

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for some have entertained angels (messengers) unawares.

Linda Law you are prolific, and from the look of your picture, I'd say your a little fire cracker, too! I love your work and enjoy seeing your name all over AD. You are an inspiration indeed and from reading some of your reviews you've got yourself a nice little following. Thank you so much and good luck with everything you do.

Dear Linda, I just read this beautiful story and I can tell that our entire existence on earth is an extraordinary story, as we move every day from place to place, from angel to angel without realizing that we are in fact on an earth full of miracles. It depends on each human being to which category he belongs and which mission everyone has, without even knowing. Usually I do not share this explanation with anyone but reading your story I felt comfortable that you would understand. Life is a wonderful journey and not every one is able to feel it. I will one day share my travel story, if I will get to it. I thank you for sharing your story, I very well understand your feelings. Be well, Love Emile

Wonderful story, Linda, and so uplifting. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few "angel unawares" during my life as mom, and grandmom, and my kids and grandkids have as well. What I treasure the most is the miracles that I have received in times of illness and danger, when God's presence was within me and saved my life--even after dying. I am tracking your stories and hope to read as many as I can. Good luck with the writing and the inspiration!!

Love and blessings,

Micki Peluso

Just to update this .... the angel on flight two called and said he ordered a couple books from Amazon, and that he has shared "me" with some of his friends...so...guess things happen for good reason... it was nice.

It would be hard to sit next to you...and not speak. You have a glow, a shine in your eyes and it draws people. I am so happy for you and I knew things would be good.

Thank you for sharing this sweet story, Linda. In this day and age, it is always wonderful to hear that there are those who love their families and want to uphold their marriage covenants. Sadly, it is a rare thing now...
I too believe that the Lord sends angels to bless our lives when we need it.

God surrounds you with angels, angels that pull people to you Linda, he loves you that much. That aura around you is powerful as much as your writes. Love and hugs, Bonnie

Yes I agree with you Linda, when on book tour locally I met some of the nicest peopel from all age groups and walks of life, they would all have a story to tell me and if I wasn't busy I would usually tell them to sit down and chat...most I encouraged to write for I think everyone has that desire to share their hearts and their memories.

You know Linda, I believe that it's not whom we meet, but whether we can see that we met somebody.
I mean that anybody else wouldn't find anything special in those people. It's something in you that pulls angels to you.

So, next time when you fly, just tell me, so that I'll try to be on the same flight :-)
