Raphael the Archangel Appears
as told by Shannon Dunn to Jim Stewart, The Voices Within Us."
Shannon Dunn is the neice of a dear friend of mine Barbara Rand.
A few years ago Shannon was deep into the dark side of the drug world. She was using and selling drugs. She got arrested during a sting operation and was sentenced to ten years of hard time.
The first night that she spent in her cold jail cell was an eye opener to say the least. She sat on the edge of her cot looking at ten years ahead of her in jail. She started crying and then got on her knees and prayed, something she never did before. That is when the archangel Raphael appeared to her. He told her that he was there to help her and that he would be with her during this hard time. For the next week and a half Raphael would visit her every night, giving her words of encouragement.
One day the jail guards came to get her to transfer her to the state hospital so she could start her rehab. While she was at the state hospital she started telling all of the patients her stories of Raphael the archangel. The patient's could not wait each day to hear a new story from the night before. This continued for a couple of weeks, when hospital officials came to her and said, "The Judge wants to see you back in the court room. Here are your clothes. We need to leave right away." Shannon got dressed and off to the court house she went. She was very nervous as to why she was being called back in front of the judge. When she arrived, the judge called her name to approach the bench. So Shannon, her attorney and the District attorney approached the bench. The jude looked at Shannon and said, "Miss Dunn, I hear good thing from the state hospital. I hear you have turned your life around in a very short time. I hear that you have been ministering to many of the patients at the hospital. What do you have to say foryourself?" Before Shannon could speak the judge said, " I have reviewed your case. I am prepared to commute your sentence to time served." He then said, "I never want to see you in this court again! Good luck to you. You are a free woman."
Today Shannon owns and operates a Printing Store in San Antonio, Texas. She continues to help people who are caught in the same trap that she was caught in. She still is being visited by Raphael, who she says really saved her life.
