The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived?

I'm sure we all have different ideas and our reasons why...and can any man be unquestionably be called the greatest? And how do you measure greatness?

Who comes into your mind...famous explorers or archaeologists, maybe powerful leaders through history like Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, George Washington or even Winston Churchill, or what about science, Alexander Fleming who invented penicillin.

H.G. Wells said,  "that a mans greatness can be measured by what he leaves to grow, and whether he started others to think along fresh lines with a vigor that persisted after him. By this test 'Jesus' stands first."

Napolean Bonaparte is reported to have said, "Jesus Christ has influenced and commanded his subjects without his visible bodily presence."

Think about it, even calendars today are based on the year Jesus was born, dates before that year are B.C, before Christ. Dates after that are A.D, anno Domini.. 'in the year of our Lord'.

So i say, by his dynamic teachings and by the way he lived in harmony with them, Jesus has powerfully affected the lives of people for thousands of years...

All the armies that have ever marched, all the navies that were ever built, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned have not affected the life of man so powerfully.
