Nothing changes until you change something. Find your passion; identify small steps to get you closer to your goal.

We all desire to feel like we are in charge and in control of our lives.
Often though, women don’t feel this way.
How can a woman find her own power and live the life of her dreams while being a full time wife, mom and perhaps even have a career?

Many times women are so involved in the lives of their children, their husbands, homes and even careers that they don’t pencil in time for their own interests.
Women often identify themselves with what they do for others, what society expects of them rather than following their own interests and dreams.

Living your life through others leads to feelings of restlessness and anxiety, stress and dis-ease. Women often give a long list of all the things they do for their family, and identify herself as the mother of, wife of, when introducing themselves for the first time.

Women have a tendency to become enmeshed in the lives, struggles and victories of others and leave themselves outside the activity as the supporter of their family.

This is well and good when you truly enjoy the activities and take a starring role, but often this is not the case.
The woman/mother/wife plays the role of taxi driver, teacher, coach, event planner, cook, and clean up woman.

We are most often taught from childhood to be loving, supportive, to give our time and energy to others. We are not taught the importance of following our own inner drummer and going for our own dreams.

Women often realize in their 30-50’s that they have not developed their own passions, hobbies and dreams.

This is the time of life when women begin to feel changes taking place in their bodies and minds which often leave them feeling disoriented and at odds with themselves and their lives.

During these years many women find themselves looking for new jobs, new partners and perhaps a totally new life style. This is a normal occurrence. Something inside you is struggling to be set free.

When you feel the movement inside yourself to change things, to really shake up your life, go back to your place of passion. What is the one thing you have always wanted to do and made excuses for not doing?

Think back to when you were a little girl, what did you really want to be, to do, when you grew up?
What difference did you want to make in the world? Allow yourself to feel the ember of this long forgotten dream. As you feel the ember growing inside you, think of ways you can begin doing these things now. What steps can you take to fulfill your dreams and make them come true ?

Your dream may be to have a huge rose garden, to travel, learn a new skill, no matter what it is, just do it. Empower yourself by listening to your inner child voice and having some fun.

The best and easiest way to shake off the feeling of helplessness and lack of power is to take a step and change something in your life.

Nothing changes until you change something. Find your passion; identify small steps to get you closer to your goal.
Give yourself permission to be yourself, to take the steps necessary to accomplish your hopes and dreams.
