Bonnie Parker felt she was was Bonnie Parker reincarnated. Born the same day and month, but 75 years after the infamous Bonnie Parker died, she meets an escaped convict by the name of Clyde Barrow, who easily persuades her she really is Miss Bonnie Parker. They fall in love and driven by passion, set out to fulfill their destinies. Along the way, they added their names to the annals of American history, as two of the most violent criminals in modern times.

"Extra, extra read all about it, Bonnie Parker gets death penalty in shooting death of two Texas lawmen,” the newspaper carrier’s voice barked loudly above the noisy sounds of the busy traffic on the street.

He was selling special editions from the Texas Morning Times. Motorists were honking their horns trying to get his attention, but he was just too busy to leave his spot on the corner and walk over to sell them a paper. People were standing in line waiting to get their copy. Business was brisk for him this afternoon as he peddled his newspapers. Passersby were getting copies as fast as he could sell them. It was also the most profitable day for him thus far since he started selling newspapers on this corner five years ago. In a Clyde, in a matter of minutes, he sold out. The crowd seemed to be like a school of Piranha on a feeding frenzy, except it was the local news they were feeding on.

“I'll be back in five minutes,” he shouted to the crowd waiting in line as he rushed across the street to get more papers.

You are probably wondering why all the excitement over one woman getting the death penalty these days, something not very rare? I guess it is because this was one of the most cold-blooded brutal murders ever committed around these parts. Before now, hardly anyone not from here knew anything about a place called Nowhere, Texas. www.waynebryant.net
