Is book marketing getting you down? You have to be diligent and creative to market a book online. Once you write a book, your job doesn't stop there, you now have to learn how to sell books online. Below is a little tip I use to sell my books online.
Today I went whale watching off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Cod Massachusetts. The trip cost me $90, but I sold $120 worth of books. That's right, I sold over a hundred dollars worth of books while I was floating on the Atlantic Ocean, while communicating with customers live on my website. What tool did I use? Google Chatback. Google Chatback is a free program, from Google of course, which you can install on your website in about 10 minutes. Let's use SellaTonofBooks.com as an example. As you can see, on the right hand side of the website is a "chat live with the author" link. Once a user clicks on that link, an instant message screen opens on my computer, and the potential customers computer. I can then begin communicating, in real time, with potential customers. If you are busy or can't be bothered, by web inquiries, you can simply turn on or off Google Chatback at will.
While on my Iphone out on the whale watching trip, I received several inquiries from potential customers all of which resulted in book sales within te hour. With the mobile Google Application for the Iphone, you authors out there can connect live with potential customers even when your not in front of your computer.
Once you start publishing books you need to start collecting tips and tricks like the above to be successful selling books online. Remember, when you want to learn how to market your book, creativity is king.
