The woman at the well. St Johns 4: 7- 53. If you don’t mind tagging along with me, it says this: “There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, give me to drink.” Now, this poor woman, like many of the world’s most unfortunate women of today, she had really touched my spirit. Why is that? I’ll tell you! From my perspective, she is one of the most used and abused women in the Bible. Owing to many preachers whom I assume are fashioning others. They only get to see in one direction. Likewise, so they preach. What I have heard them said when they are preaching or when they are lecturing on that Scripture. I must say that they have totally missed the interpretation, for the theme of such fine words. Again, I’d say, they need to re-study that Scripture
It seems that it’s easier to preach condemnation, rather than to see reasons for the manifestation of the glory of the Lord. Those preachers, they don’t stop to think that the woman at the well; she might have been destined to that end. They cannot grasp this: she was placed there in the community; only, with such character that at Jesus’ arrival, God’s glory would show up. If my assumption is correct! She was strategically chosen to be such a woman, beyond her control. There are some who are finding it very hard to get this: when the Scripture speaks of the lost; it is people like her it is talking about.
The ninety-nine which are at home, safe and dry they are okay; it’s the one that’s lost, which needs finding. Jesus says this: “I come not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” In the light of that, the righteous they have already known right from wrong. And so, it’s expected of them to maintain their righteousness, while they live. On the other hand, people such as the woman at the well; they should be our main concern. Perhaps she had chosen to fetch her water at a time, which she had considered safe.
She might have thought, that all those Mr. and Mrs. Perfects; had already gotten their water. With the belief there wouldn’t be, anyone there to look down at her. Only to her greatest surprise: Mr. Perfect Himself was waiting there for her. In fact, she had just met with the one true Mr. Perfect. She had met the Christ. The one in whom Samaritans have long placed their hope for their deliverance. Then said He unto her, “Give me to drink.” Hearing that, perplexity fell hard upon her. Quite visible, she was in the midst of the Lord. The deliverer had come to deliver all the under privileged people. She was shocked!
I see Jesus’ mission at the well, as it was simply to save soul. I don’t think that it was any shock to Him, when He noticed the woman. Rather, it’s my opinion; He chose to wait alone, to speak to her by herself. We can even look at it this way: if His disciples were there, they could’ve caused hindrance. They could’ve possibly caused the woman to be shied away. Hence, Jesus stayed by Himself, while the disciples went to do the things they knew to do best. They went to buy food, and when they came back the work was done.
The woman was delivered, and her soul was healed of her sins. What hits me about that woman is nothing, but her hope. Yes! It’s just her great hope. Clearly she was very hopeful of meeting Christ. When I read how she had responded to Jesus, during their conversation; I had to respect her great faith. She proved to me that, in spite of all her set back in life; she was always hopeful that there will come a day; when there would be a change…. One like me can only assume who that poor woman was, character wise.
Yet, it’s not so with Christ. He knew her from birth and beyond. I’ve agreed that she was used and abused, by many men (5) to be exact. There are lots of women today, who find themselves in similar situation. It is not because they are enjoying it, but it’s rather because they cannot help it. Most of those women who fall into that category are due to unsuitable partners…. In which case, they shouldn’t be called by filthy names. It should neither happen in preaching, nor simply for making some funny remarks.
Who knows for sure, one that’ll be a good partner, before you find yourself trapped? Furthermore, who can rightly tell the extent of ones treatment, in the hand of a terrible partner? Is not it rather hard to say? Yes, it is! Then in the same breath, wouldn’t it be difficult to judge a person who owing to distress; had to have relationships annulled? Again, that has to be another yes! Well, fair enough: we know for sure being human our endurance is weak. Then, should one who failed, be accused or belittled? No!
How long then, can one tolerate suffering; if the marriage is not working; should one stay and die by the punishment? Personally I don’t think so. This I’ll say though, blessed are those who find good companions. Someone you can share your life with. If you are one of those, think not that it comes easily. Rather, thank God that you are blessed. No one can really guarantee, which will be a good or lasting marriage. Then those who find it let them honour it. Only, don’t put down your foot upon those who are not so fortunate.
We’ll do well to show a little sympathy, where there’s misfortune. Others who are undergoing stress and distress, not all have created it upon themselves. Often times, that’s the way the cookie crumbles, for many. There are many marriages, which appear to be in tact, but in reality they are not. This can be found amongst people, of all types, both of the world, and also amongst Christians. They choose to suffer extreme hardship, just to save face. That’s not good! It will offend the spirit, and may lose you, your soul.
I’d like for Christians to get this: It could be a much weightier sin to be in a marriage, which is not working, than to get out of it. If a wife and husband, not being supportive to each other, but making it look as, if it is so, it cannot be a light thing, nor can it be a light sin. The whole truth is this: it’s just as bad as pretending to be saved, but you are not. A lot of whom, you will hear bragging about, the greatness of their marriages; they’d better hope that they don’t ever get bugged. For if they should, what great surprise it would be!
All the same, don’t get me wrong; a good marriage is one of the greatest blessings given to man. In the light of that, if you’ve got one, which is working well, you must try your best to keep it. For it is good, that man should not be alone. Those are words from our Father’s Lips, and need not to be questioned; as, He knows best about every thing.
Now, lets go back to the woman at the well. Although, so many in speaking about her, they belittled her. I detect a thing about her, which is rather hard to find in lots of today’s Christians. From the Scripture, I find that she wasn’t a liar; yet, many Christians nowadays, will lie even, without a reason for them to lie. I just couldn’t fail to notice, When Jesus questioned her, how she answered Him by telling the truth. Jesus saith unto her, “Go, call thy husband, and come hither.” She answered! And what was her answer?
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, “Thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.” Well, from that we can say, she was borrowing another woman’s husband. I’m not saying that it was right, but at least she didn’t steal him to herself. Rather, it seems as if she was only borrowing him. That isn’t right either. However, who can say that she had known, when she first met this man that, he was belonging to another woman? No one!
So, it may be fair to say: at first she could’ve thought that she had found a husband, which as it turns out she was wrong. Those things happen to women everyday; so, what difference does it made, when it happened to her? Thank God for Jesus, Who had showed her love and delivered her. When I thought about her it made me sad. Sad enough to say this: hold unto your hope in Christ. That woman at the well, she didn’t give up hoping that there would come a day of change. Then it came in such a way, it changed her completely. It made her into a new person inspired with life and light.
The woman said unto Jesus, “Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our father worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” At this point, why did her fathers had to worship in the mountain, instead of Jerusalem; couldn’t it be due to their status, being Samaritans; and the hierarchies of the era stood in their way? Well, I’m not going to say it was so. For it could also be due, to what happened during those times, when many had lost contact with God. Then every man was doing what was right in his own sight. Whether or not, whatever was the cause let it be so.
As, the conversation prolonged, Jesus said unto her: “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship, the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a spirit: and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” The woman saith unto Him, “I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when He comes, He will tell us all things.” Here is the shock! Jesus saith unto her, “I that speak unto thee am He.” Now, can you use your imagination?
This poor woman, in spite of her hardship; she lived knowing something. She had a hope that one day, when Messias come her life would be changed. What great faith! During all her stress, and oppression, which she had been suffering, still she held on to her hope. Why? She had heard of a deliverer, who one day would come; not only to deliver her, but also to share her heavy loads. Great was her faith in God: Jesus saw it and He waited at the well for her; and then, He comforted her. What great relief fell upon her soul?
From that day her fame spread abroad. How about, if she had given up hope or, suppose she didn’t stand firm upon her belief. What would she gain? Don’t you believe that, God knows her by character from inside out? Yet, the merciful Father sent His son Jesus to bless her. My friends, you only need to believe that’s my advice to you. Try live and be hopeful – like that woman at the well.
It might take a while, but God will come to your aid. The same Jesus that helped her, Himself was later crucified, but He’s risen from death and He made us a promise that, He is coming again. Then all one has to do is to believe; I believe and when, He comes in His glory; I’ll be going with Him. The woman at the well said when Christ comes He will tell us all things. Note that saying, she didn’t say He would criticize us in all things. She said He would tell us all things. Thankfully like He told her, so He is telling us.
In the light of that, let no man neither belittle nor condemn you. At all times – you just do your best. The Lord knows when you’ve done well, without He has to ask anyone, He won’t have to inquire how well you’ve done. It is written: when we’ve done our best; angels in heaven cannot do any better. As you worship God put your spirit into doing so; and trust Him to do for you according to all His promises. In the end, your reward will be great. How do I know that? I know it because He says so – and He’s ever reliable.
Your duty is to go to the lord in faith, leaving behind all doubts and fears. This is vital, go with a strong belief that you’ll succeed. Be mindful, that it could take a little time, but don’t you ever lose hope in the Lord. Allow the woman at the well’s story to exemplify your faith. I know that due to misery, the things we are asking God for today; are the things we think, we should’ve had since last month. That’s the way we think, simply because, we don’t remember that God’s time is different to ours. Nonetheless, it is very different indeed!
Whereas, we should try to remember that; so that when we are making our petitions to God; we would realize that there could be a waiting period. We have to condition ourselves to believe in His words. Since it is the word that tells us, He does things right, but as it pleases Him. I take the view, without having good faith or patience; we won’t receive God’s blessings. We are in too much rush; we want Him to work at too fast a pace. That’s not good! We should practice slowing down sometimes. Don’t run in front of God, walk along with the Lord, only then, you’ll learn of His amazing ways.
The woman at the well; she didn’t just fetch her water and rushed away. No! She stayed, and she listened to good sense. That’s how she was delivered. It’s her obedience and good patience that helped her to solve her problems. Do you want your problems to be solved? If so! Listen to God’s words. In His words we know that we’ve got hope. I can clearly imagine, how pleased the woman at the well felt, after, her years of waiting to see the Messias. Seeing that, in the end, it was well worth the time she had spent hoping and waiting. Consider this: The Lord didn’t send anyone; He went to her in person.
Keep this in mind: God is the only one, who has the last say in anyone’s life. Brethren and friends – suffering may come, stresses and many worries may come, sicknesses too – those with names or without names - they too may come upon you - all to destroy you - but fear not - trust in God; He will bring you deliverance. Just be patient and remain faithful – in due time the Lord will get you help. If not, what you’ve lost in this life; you’ll gain in your future life. Perseverance will make you conquer. Stay put with God.
In spite of all your struggles, be mindful of God to help you. Fear not, for today’s preachers. Even though, you’ll hear them throwing out unpleasant words to God’s people; you take no notice of them; their preaching life will be short lived. You have your duty: it is to concentrate on trusting the Lord. He is the one that will help you out of whatever is your situation. Those that are talking bad about the woman at the well; they need to be delivered. Furthermore, they need to learn the Scriptures.
They are surely lacking the interpretation skills; or else, they would see that, the woman was there to establish God’s glory. See how she went with the news! The word says: “The woman then left her water-pot, and went her way into the city, and said unto the men, come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” Yes!!! He was the very Christ whom she had long hoped to meet. He’s the only one who hadn’t abused or belittled her. Not like the men of the cities. Not like those that, she went and fetched to come see Christ. Quite possible, it was for them to get their redemption.
Consider this: Jesus would have known all her five men; yet, He didn’t go looking for them. Why? My perception is, they were the abusers, and she needed to be liberated from them. Jesus did it for her, He set her free; and there followed a great harvest of souls. She had gathered fruit unto life eternal. For she reaped the men of the city, in that same day. The word says: “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth, and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”
In this case, Jesus prepareth the soil, she soweth in the soil, the city’s people reapeth, and then together they all rejoiced. Blessed be the Lord Jesus Christ, who in His mercy, He considereth even a poor lowly Samaritan woman. We all need to live with hope, and most importantly, with the fear of God in our hearts. The Lord needs people: in whom He can find a fair mind, and a heart that can be converted. The woman at the well, she might have been all what they have made her to be; except, deep down, I have to assume that her heart was receptive. In her, there was a heart, which was easy to work with.
She had a heart, which was very mindful of the Christ. The Christ whom they had long hoped to meet; the Christ who should come and tell them all things. Here is one of the things, which He told her: “woman believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.” Hearing all that, as for my interpretation: Jesus was saying, the place of worship is not a factor, but it is the sort of worship that really matters. One should allow the love of God to be embedded into one’s soul – at all times – while one lives. Come one come all feel free to worship.
If one has a clean heart and having no envy: in mind, body and spirit; then such a person may worship God; as long as, the atmosphere is right. The redeemer, Jesus Christ, brings redemption for all who will accept Him. It’s only those who will abide by His teachings, will see God. For one to be called, a man or a woman of God: it’s a great honour, but if one’s heart is not pure, he won’t be able to see God. “Blessed are the pure in heart.”
My friends, we need not just be thinking this way: Well, I’m not a murderer, I don’t steal, I don’t tell lies, I’m not a harlot, I go to church, I praise my God. That’s Good! You should do all that and more, but your heart has to be right too, in order for you to see God. You’ll find where it’s written: in St Matthew 5, and in other places of your Bible. You go there and read it for yourself. I am not saying the woman at the well was righteous, but it is fair to say; if she had been earlier given help, she might’ve been a different person. Jesus saw that, and He changed her life forever.
Her hope had been accomplished. She anchored her life believing on the coming Messias, and no one could’ve changed her mind. No wonder they say, “belief kills and belief cures.” In her case, she was cured. Each person has a right to trust in God, and to be mindful of His coming. Neither one of us should be living unprepared to meet Christ. Considering that the earth and all its fullness thereof, are belonging to Him. Then, He could turn up at any time, or at any place. The Samaritan woman didn’t know that, Jesus was going to turn up at the well, but there He was! Halleluiah! Halleluiah!! Amen.
Reading about that, it tells us to be careful of the way, we deal with a stranger, in case he is God looking like a man. Would He find any godliness in us; how would we feel? Very disappointed! Regardless of our feelings, it would be too late to make correction for our actions. Often times, we god-fearing people deceivers have us deceived. It happens when we extend a hand of kindness. Mostly to someone we don’t know. Keep in mind though, as long as blessing allows you to do it; you’ll find that it’s always better to give than to decline. Remember, we might never know for sure the depth of the need of the person who is asking. Then again, he/she might not even be in need, but as you can’t be sure, still give while you are able to and do it with a willing heart before the Lord.
For as you give with a good heart, being in the dark to the swindler, God will bless you, but the deceiver or, con person won’t prosper. The woman at the well; she didn’t refuse Jesus a drink; she merely questioned the legality. Knowing that, it could probably incriminate her, she was perhaps right. Jews and Samaritans, it seems they were during that era segregated. Jesus in His wisdom; He knows all things; He didn’t mark her as being unkind. Besides, I don’t think, His reason for being there was simply to get a drink, but rather, He was there to save souls. She the first, then followed by many others.
That’s why after His disciples came back; they were somehow perplexed, over whether He had eaten or not. He was able to say this: “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look at the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” Further along, yet again He says: “And herein is that saying true , one soweth and another reapeth.” It’s the same as to say: One made the seats, but others seated thereon. Then let us get up and go sowing God’s words for others to reap.
Surely that should say enough to finish justify, the nature of the woman at the well. Her destiny; was it not to glorify, the works of the Lord? I say, my friends in Christ; we are all in this world to fulfill its fullness thereof. Then, even when many of us may appear, to have the wrong faces; or the wrong jobs, and even, those with bad attitudes; without them the world would not be the same. For it would be void of some of its fullness. The glory of the Lord comes in the most unusual way. Nonetheless, He made us all for a reason.
Job Chapter 12: “With Him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are His.” He is the Father of the deceived, and He is the Father of the deceiver. I look at many things, which I don’t like such as bad behaviors and unjust actions. Others like you perhaps will join me – we oppose certain behavior, as it is a shame just to see. Yet, we’ll do best just to pray about it – and then allow God to deal with it. I have no doubt that, He knows best; then let the wheat, and the tares grow together until the day of harvest. Blessed be the name of the Lord forevermore – may His peace abide with us all.
Here is Job, who yet again said this: “With Him is wisdom and strength, He hath counsel and understanding. Behold He breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.” From all that we can conclude: That the Lord’s will has to be done. For, whether we like it or not, at the end of the day, it’s all the same to Him. Since He is the inventor of righteousness it’s not possible for Him to be wrong. We are wrong in most of our judgments, merely because we don’t know the future.
Not so with God, as both the future and the present is all the same to Him. In that case, I’d say, leave Him to do the thing that is beyond our intellectual capacity. At no time we should try getting in front of God. This, I said before, yet I’m saying it again: “He was here before all us.” Then, who is better to lead us than Him? No one! That’s right no one. To emphasize a little more on this point, things that seem right in our sight, in God’s sight, they could be far from being right.
He knows all things; He knows the beginning and the end of every thing. We are different, even if, we put a scheme in progress; often times, we are unable to be sure of the outcome. Not so with the Lord, He knows all our plans and how they began. He knows the motive for all our plans too. He even knows, the way they’ll all end. That is just another good reason for me writing: Make It Today. To remind you that God has infinite wisdom, which enables Him to know all things. We cannot find out what He is withholding from us. Yet, we cannot ever withhold anything from Him.
He is the founder of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Having those in His control – is what make Him the Supreme Almighty Father that He is. Mind you, although He is indisputable, He is not unreasonable. It is written: He is approachable and He has a willingness to reason with us. Our duty is to take all our problems to God in prayer and leave them in His domain; while, He goes to work on solving them for us. He will do only what is right, but not what one think is right.
The Lord doesn’t have to guess about anything; then in everything He does what is best. The reasons why many prayers don’t get answered may be due to the motive of those who pray. Prayer must be for the right cause. It makes no sense for one to go to God in prayer, with the hope that He will answer his or her evil prayer. What is an evil prayer one might ask? All unrighteous prayers have to be classified as evil prayers.
If you seek God for a brother or a sister to get hurt or even to see one lose his/her job, it’s not good. If your intention is not for good reason then you shouldn’t go praying to God, as He might not answer. There are many unsuccessful prayers; it is due to what we prayed about. We should pray to God in good faith, for the benefit of everyone’s need, including self and family. Those are the quality prayers, which serve real purposes, and are more likely to bring about fair results quickly. Then, you try and pray correctly to God, and try use your own words in prayer.
To put it simple, it would be better for you to say: Lord do help my brother to change his ways that I may like him, and that I will be able to work peacefully with him. Or, perhaps a sister as the case may be. You will find that it is much better to pray that way, than to hope for him/her to be redundant. That’s not good! Seeing that, his family could suffer hardship, as a result of your evil prayers. I have to assume that God in His wisdom could not in anywise grant such a petition. Not when it’ll cause unnecessary grief.
Truly, preachers need to make it their duty, to regularly teach along those lines. If they do that, it could help the congregation to improve on their prayer life. There could be a possibility of them praying better prayers of substance, if they could get proper teaching. All our prayers, we should present to the Lord in a fine pleasant way. It’s the genuine prayer, from fair-minded people, which will allow God to let His blessings flow more abundantly, for the good of all His people.
I do hope that more people would picture this: The more we condition ourselves to be fair-minded, is the more the Lord will bless us. Many, who come into greater blessings, might be due to them having a caring nature. A mind that is full of envy, covetousness, bitterness and confusion, is at enmity with goodness and righteousness. All that could hinder one’s prosperity. Often times, when some are suffering from wants, it’s due to their evil mind-set toward others.
One should condition one’s self and find common ground to make his/her heart attain: love, peace, joy, and godly consideration for others. Living your life with those values, you’ll have all to gain from God and you’ll have nothing to lose. Whenever we sow love and honesty, we are sowing to reap a good harvest. That’s why our hearts should be clean, right, and righteous being at peace in the Lord and if possible with all others. If we can try and live that way, we would be like a shining light in the dark for all to follow.
We could be of hope for all those that are getting lost. The very words from our lips would make listeners feel delightful. “From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” then a good heart will only speak, what’s blissful for both self and others. At this point, you’re all invited to join with me in seeking God, for the sanctification of our hearts daily. Remember, it is right to be free at heart. Make room for love therein, and then, just trust God and be blessed. Hence, you’ll be hopeful for heavenly legacy.
Your entire life will be well spent, and in the end, there will be rest for your soul. What have we to lose by doing the right thing? Nothing! Rather, we have got all to gain in Christ. No wonder I’m of such a strong belief: By preparing this book – it’ll be of great help to all its readers. I have been anticipating my works – will throw open doors that have been closed to a good many people. It’s my hope to put light where there is darkness. Most of all – my desire is to let people know – that God is their heavenly Father – and so – God has great love for every living human being.
I know that some people don’t stop to think about God. Then, they can’t see that God is, the true provider for every man/woman. All the same, God is! Owing to that, it’s our duty to fear and obey Him. That we can do – only by following as he leads. Here again, I realize that there are a fair number of people, who are yet to know what God’s guide really is. All that bothers me – it is really troubling me greatly. As a result – I decided to put it in writing. So, I consider writing books that will point people to God; might be a good way to get it going. As there are many ways to spread the words of the Lord unto others. I spreading the words in books will just be an addition to those many other ways of spreading it.
Then, I say this: The finest way to lead people to God is, by introducing to them His written words. For if ever people truly get to know God – they would probably esteem Him more – whereby it could enable Him – to bless the whole world better. Again, this I say: despite the best of one’s intention…it’s hard to fix the entire world all by one’s self; yet, I believe everyone can do something to bring about an upgrading. Hence, in my spirit I was urged to write. That is why I’m writing a part of what I have to offer in books.
It comes to me as one way of evangelizing – to help save souls that are going astray. Not only that – but my books are organized to comfort anyone – especially those who are sad and lonely. At the same time – I won’t claim to be a miracle worker. Then I won’t promise anyone a miracle – like some others probably would. It’s not that I don’t know that miracle can happen; yet, I see God as the only source, as far as a miracle is concerned. Consequently, I’ll suggest, for us to have our needs met; we should look up to God with whom all things are possible.
Look to God! Seeing that, I’m a man of faith, I placed all my hopes in the Lord. I allow God to be managing my life – so far I have to say God is doing a fine job. As a result – my family and me are managing fairly well. Knowing the goodness of God – I decided to get it published – and so – I write books. I have a hope that everyone who will read this book – it’ll lead he/she – to a more peaceable life. I reckon for the individual who will read thoroughly my books, his or her life could yet become more successful. Why? It’s because my books will teach him or her how to trust in God for everything – and then receive blessings - which can be of all types – as in accordance with His promises.
Above all – as this book teaches about God’s favours – once people yield to its advice – they could find good health and may live a longer life. Here is another of my zeal: everybody chiefly a Christian – and all booksellers – more so – Christian bookstores it would be nice if they should stock and sell this book. I feel that way owing to the contents of the book. It has all to do with living right – and fearing the Lord. I claim closeness to God brings out the blessings of God. This is also one of my sayings: “fearing the Lord is all to gain and nothing to lose.”
It’s partly that too – why I choose to spread the words – by writing books. Nonetheless, most people might have already recognized that - writing book is an expensive venture. Publishing cost needs to be covered. That’s why I am so much in need of your help. You’ll help me to evangelize more widely – when you buy a copy of my books. Even, if it is just to give to someone. You may lead that person to Christ. In fact – it could be the best present – you’ll ever give to a friend or to a relative.
The message is very clear, it says make it today. Again, this is my wish: it’s for God’s precious blessings to be upon you. Just follow God’s lead, and then, your heart will guide you into doing everything that is right. Each time we have done what is right – in the sight of the Lord – it’ll be seen and be judged worthily. Seeing the growing ruthlessness of evil – I reckon – for goodness’ sake – everyone should learn more about the Lord. We would then be able to help nullify more of the many growing evils – which are in our midst.
It is God’s will for us to do well and to get to know Him, by way of His words. There are times, when people tend to put off, some of what could have been done today for another day. That’s not good! They don’t stop to think – that tomorrow may not be the same as today. Furthermore, there is certain job, which can only be done according to the weather condition. For example, today could be nice, sunny and dry, but tomorrow the rain could begin to pour. Worse than that, tomorrow is promised to no one.
For all those reasons – and more – I write my books. Again, me being a Christian, a man of great faith: I consider it is essential to let others know of God’s goodness. I have to tell people that it’s not good – bearing their burdens alone. I have to tell them that God is their tower of strength – and God promises to help. God has everything – and God can fulfil all our needs. Note this too, if the Lord helps you, He won’t charge usury. As he knows that to pay usury, is another burden upon the poor and needy. Bearing in mind, the Lord keeps His promises – His words are truthful and sure – enduring forever.
What God promises us? He promises us this: For all those that seek Him – and His righteousness – all things would be added unto them. God is actually saying this: Get yourself in line with my words – and you’ll suffer no wants. Failure to obey His words – we will fall into distress – and wants of all sorts. Yet, if it happens, and we should repent, and turn to seek the Lord; soon He would forgive and help us. How do you know that? I know because God says so; and His words are truthful and very rock solid. They are like silver tried in a furnace of hearth- purified seven times. Psalm 12.
We the Christians have our duties – It’s to let others be wise to this: Sin is not good! If we could get rid of sin – there would be an increase in blessings. Seeing as, for one to get proper help from the Lord – one has to humble one’s self. “ There is not a friend like the lowly Jesus.” If Jesus can humble himself – and be lowly; then, why shouldn’t we do like wise? My friends do try to be humble, and take everything to the Lord in prayer.
If there comes a time in the darkness of night – when stress and restlessness – seek to devour you – don’t start counting sheep – look to Jesus on the cross. Stay there with your head on your pillow – then you try looking to Jesus – until He sees it fit to satisfy your soul. At this point – be advised, as this is vital that you don’t fail to remember – I’m depending upon you – to help me with my book writing evangelizing. Get a copy for your friend. Make It Today, but if you can’t afford it, may God still bless you. On the other hand – if you can – as you do so – the blessings of God will be upon you, hopefully, in a much bigger way.
There is a need for us to seek – and to locate those who are lost. They must be gathered into the kingdom of the Lord. We have to try and help whomever we can – if we don’t try to do something, nothing will ever get done. Make It Today is organized for no other reason, but to help its readers. See then, this book is solely for the good of others. It’s hopeful of bringing home to you all these: Peace, comfort, joy, and hope for the lost. Furthermore, I have fixed my intention, on believing, the book should help its readers to yield faith. In addition, I’m of the opinion that my writing will be a tower of strength, and a roadway to Christ, for the benefits of its many readers, by the help of the Lord; since, He is my leader, my helper, and my very guide in all things.
