The Kingdom comes down to us and with it all the necessities of life, but we have to covenant with God to get those benefits. We have to work, we have to give God thanks, and praise each day. We have to take part in doing kindness. We must prepare to love even, where it seems hard.
We must seek after peace; we must refrain from stirring up anger. We must be apt to help restore falling brothers and sisters. We must be willing to advise them, in living a moral and good life. Where they are slipping into sin: we are to try and help them out of it. We have a duty: it’s our godly right to help the fallen ones. We need to restore them again from, where they have fallen. Don’t just sit back, and wondering: saying what’s my calling what’s my calling, I’m trying to find my calling. That’s rubbish!
We are called to righteousness, to do just the right thing as life permits us. All godly deeds or, all good works is of God and true Christians are called to labour into those fields. In that case, it shouldn’t be difficult to find and fill a calling. Consider this, when we help someone we are filling a calling. It could be by lending something. It could be by giving something. It could be just by giving few words of good encouragement. Whichever way you may choose to look at it: As long as, what you do is of benefit to one who is in need, it’s good.
Many good works we are called to do; needless one thinks my calling is for singing; you can sing and preach: as well as, you can help an old person to his or her seat. A preacher can at times help with the arranging of the tables and chairs… etc; the list goes on. Other things need mentioning is, carrying your own tools for your work. Subsequently, if your work requires a Bible and a hymnal: then, you should be proud to carry it as, an example to others. We are all called to labour in the Kingdom of God. We are servants simply called to serve. The words plainly show, Jesus makes Himself into a servant, and He serves; in fact, His service for us is endless.
Of course, you know that He’s sitting at the right of God interceding. He’s still at work! Oh bless His name forever and evermore. Jesus was not a philosopher: His doctrine wasn’t based on views, as does a philosopher. He brings to us the truth: in the order as one who was sent: full of light, truth and life. Jokes! How about jokes? Was Jesus ever a joker? Why are you asking me that? Well, I’ve seen the preachers of today: most of them actually, they like to start off preaching with a joke.
Yes, you’re so right: it is undeniable, I saw that too. What I will say, in answering the question: Jesus was neither a comedian nor any sort of joker. He was so rooted in wanting to phase out the ruthlessness of philosophical doctrines, and to replace it with the truth: He didn’t have time to get indulged in joking. That’s the view I take. Does it answer your question? Oh yes, thanks! I myself was thinking along the same line of answer. To add to that, I’d say comedians and jokers: have their places; it’s mostly in pubs and clubs.
This is rather sad, when one goes to church to worship: expecting to hear the words, but instead, just lots of jokes, and futile speeches coming from the ‘Pulpit.’ It has been long past the time, to drop the attitudes, and get back to basic Bible teaching. Another thing, which is noticeable again: we have this; which is a problem: some are preaching and throwing stones. I don’t mean real stones, I meant they are preaching, and quarreling with others in the pew: as, if they have got some unsettled disputes.
There are many who only go on the Pulpit to do those sorts of things to others. Yes that they do instead of preaching the words of God to His people. Seeing all that, we’ll learn something. We’ll learn that they were neither called nor sent. They are volunteers who do their own things. No one who knows God should listen to him or her. None of them have any power over you, that you should fall under their spells. In Colossians chapter 2: it declares: “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” So, there you have it!
You don’t have to subdue to unrighteous doctrines, given to you by anyone. The words of God are light and life. Walk in the light. Fear not, trust in God: He is your guide; He won’t leave or for sake you. The Lord is not partial, even if you cannot, change into three suits during a half-hour preaching session; He still cares for you. There is inheritance for the poor in the Kingdom of heaven. Lift up your heart, and be of good courage; God is God from the beginning, now, and forever, so give praise unto His name.
By knowing the words you will learn; as, it’ll teach you wisdom. Having wisdom it will bring you knowledge. Having knowledge you will get the gift of understanding. We need to get real close to the Lord, and, that means to believe on His words. How can I believe if I don’t understand? Start fearing the Lord now: as, that is the beginning of wisdom, and soon you’ll learn many things. In other words, whatever the rest know, soon you too will know. The comprehension of God’s words, are not restricted to anyone special.
The Lord will talk to whomever He pleases, even, someone like you. But, He knows all about me! That’s true ! See, you don’t understand. What I meant is He sees all that I’ve done wrong. True again! That’s why I’m here to tell you this: seek forgiveness, and quicker than you think He’ll be your friend. How can I do that? It is easy! Say something like this: “Oh Lord my God, you knew me; even, longer than I knew myself, I’m a sinner, have mercy upon me, and forgive me of all my wrongs, and help me to be good. Lord keep me from sin, and strengthen me, where my weaknesses will cause me to sin.”
That’s it! Bear in mind! You don’t have to repeat the words exactly as I write, just do your own thing, in your own words. Then from that moment, try and change your behaviour pattern from bad to good. The words are true , God is always willing to forgive, but it is our duty to ask for it. Consider this, if you provoke your earthly father, and you apologize to him, he’ll accept. Why does he accept? Because, realizing you were wrong, you humbled yourself, and your father forgave you.
It is in like manner our heavenly Father takes sympathy, and will forgive us our trespasses too. There is no one who knows everything, but God. He knows the clean and He knows the filthy, He knows all our deeds. It is my imagination; God is there, with His stretched out hand, saying come onto me. Come! Oh my children come. Humble yourselves, and come, while I’m waiting come. Listen to what He says in His words: “My yoke is easy, and my burdens light.”
He is actually saying, we just have to humble ourselves, and obey Him; there is neither pressure nor stress with Him. We just need to allow Him to lead; He knows of all our wants. If only, we could learn to get in line with righteousness; then, God would be pleased to seek our good. The fault is really with us! Unless we please the Lord first He won’t be able to help us, as much, as He wants to. That too, wearied the Lord, and causing Him to lament over us. Up and down through the Bible: we read how the Lord seeing our situation; and grieves over our misfortunes.
He wants to help us plenty, but our sins preventing Him. Needless to think, He is God, and He can do, as He likes. He doesn’t word it that way, and He won’t work that way. Why not? Because of what’s already been done. What is written in the Bible cannot be altered. The Lord is not like man, who makes mistakes. So, what He says is not likely to be changed at a certain point. Meaning, the requirement he desires of us, it is already written; and if we live according to His ruling; we’ll prosper properly, but if we don’t we’ll have problems.
All this is why God is grieving over our actions: Most of His resources for us we cannot receive, since, our behaviour is standing in the way of it. So, we are the stumbling blocks; that are blocking our own path to success. The Lord is holding back on us against His will; this is not good; we have to do better for God’s real blessings to come upon us.
Consider this, it is just through His merciful kindness, why some of us can be able to find what to eat, drink and wear, not because we’ve earned it. In that case, we better give Him thanks along with many praises, at all times. In the very first book of the Bible, God declares that the human’s heart was not without evil. Genesis chapter 6 says this: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Then, according to that statement, we can conclude: with this assumption, it is seemingly, easy for our hearts to accommodate evil: Now, since such is the case, we have to look to the Lord for help. Day and night we must commit ourselves into His care. Our only or most important choice is to continue in prayer, as often as possible. We must note that prayer is the link that can keep us closer to the Lord. If we distance ourselves from God’s protection, we’ll be at risk to do evil, which means us falling into deeper, or greater sins.
A human being, on his or her own, cannot resist temptation for long. Why is that? It is simply because the duration of, endurance in the human is weak. Knowing this though! Endurance with God is everlasting; and when we stay in His care; He will enable us to endure and resist. As it is written; when the enemy comes in like a flood God will lift up a standard against him; for our good or, in other words to defend us. At this point, we should take notice of how much we need to be near the Lord.
I’ll have to say, it is only a fool who wouldn’t want the all-powerful God lifting up a standard where and when it is needed. He is not a partial God: He is the Father of all people; He’s there for all who will seek Him. Love Him and allow Him to take care of you. Remember, His very first commandment says, we are to love Him. Thinking of all His goodness to the world at large; that’s not too much for Him to ask of us. All it takes is to refrain from evil and move to righteousness.
Be warned and acknowledge this proverb: “To delay is danger but sudden death is rather worse.” Having that established my advice to all Nations is to turn to the Lord, and do so while He can be found. Psalm 32: Verses 5- 6 Come and let us read it together “For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found….” My guess is this: God is saying to us, come to me now and, don’t wait until I begin to take judgment. No! No! No! Don’t wait or, it will be too late. Too late mercy gone, too late judgment comes; too late I know you not; too late, too late, too late. It is over, you’re out, go away from the gate. What a dreadful day, and how great a shame that’ll be.
Just to think of it gives me the shake, and forced upon me this little prayer. “Oh God give us the courage to get our lives right with you as from this very moment; so, that we will overcome that day. We learn that there's going to be gnashing of teeth, and weeping and wailing. Father, help us right now, for you know that it’s not going to be pretty, for the unsaved, on that day. Speak to our hearts Lord and help us right away. Move the darkness from out of our lives, and lead us into your marvelous light. We need to escape the eternal punishment in Hell. Save us now, Lord, save us now, in Jesus name. A men!”
Friends! To all that are in agreement with my prayer, and believe that God can do all things, change your life style, do good seek after righteousness, and be redeemed. Take courage, should you feel as if the Lord is knocking at your heart’s door then let Him in. He is there to heal your heart and to save your soul. How could He when I’m so wicked? Here is the reason; He is a God of endless mercy and grace. Besides, here is a common saying nowadays. “God is a God of a second chance.”
By reading: There is Hope! Keep The Faith!! It will help you to see how much God cares for all people. If you’ll go to your Bible, and read the book of Ezekiel: consider chapter 18. There you will find that God doesn’t want people to die in their wickedness. He is very much desirous of the wicked sinner to change. It grieves Him to lose a soul. He waits and hopes that sinners will repent, and live thereafter. He knows that failure to repent you’ll die, and with no hope of living again.
Observing the seriousness, it urges my spirit to produce this writing, as it may save some poor souls from the fire. Could you be one of those who it’ll save? Do try and yield to righteousness. The Lord loves the righteous. Go! Meditate on His words day and night. Fear not, you’ll have all to gain, and nothing to lose by spending time in the words. Surely, I wish that people could get to like Bible stories, even half as much as I do. By reading the Scriptures you are not only saving your soul, but you are experiencing the past.
Come to think of it, those who lived long ago didn’t really have it as easy like us today. According to history they have been through very great struggles. Yet, it seemed that many were godlier then, than these people nowadays. It is hard to find a person now, who is lacking the knowledge of the existence of God. Technology is at present, rapidly spreading the good news, spanning the entire world, with its telecast Preachers calling for repentance.
Whereas, like the very odd country today, in time past, some mightn’t have any access to hear the words, due to oppression and captivity. People now, must see that we are getting much closer to the end time. Why? Because it is written, the Lord will delay His coming until everyone learns of Him, and guess what, the telecast is already doing just that. So, take warning and get close unto Christ; invite Him into your life. Listen to what the song man says, “Christ in the vessel, you’ll smile at the storm.” We are to make ourselves a vessel, and allow Christ to come and dwell within.
Having Him with us, let the storm rage, it won’t move our smiles. Those who love the Lord; He seeks their good; and He fights in their corner. There may be times the righteous will have problems, but the faithful Lord will rush to our aid. Yes! He will come just at the right time. Perhaps sometime He comes right at the point where we almost write Him off. That’s why you’ll hear many Christians saying, “our God is an on time God.” They say it because God met them at a place when they needed Him most.
I believe that the Lord is righteous, merciful, and kind. So much so that at all times; He will help to keep our heads above water. It could be with just enough, cash, goods or things, but when there is nothing, consider just enough as a great blessing. Who wants to be confused? No one! Right, there isn’t anyone that I know who would. Yet, there are some that are confused. Many rich folks allow confusion to set up home into their lives and as a result, much material wealth, much confusion.
Take us, on the other hand, a little spiritual help from the Lord brings us much peace and contentment, which comes in such a way, it could cause a wonder. The apostle Paul says: such peace is beyond human “comprehension.” One doesn’t even have to be a believer, to realize that Paul is right. Since everyone, at sometime in life, must have experienced similar peace. That’s the time we can tell the goodness of the Lord, and His favours upon our lives.
Mark what I’m saying here, if you haven’t ever thought of it before; then, start to think now. Certain relief that falls upon us sometimes, it is due to the presence of the Lord. No human, can ever supply such comfort, at such a time but the Lord. It’s for the same reason, why I have to advise people to behave godly. We have to love and trust others too! But, can we put real confidence in man? Oh no! We’ll find that there’s none to trust confidently but the Lord. He is the most valuable and trustworthy friend; one will ever find.
We should always recognize Him as our source of help. We must learn how to feel His presence. We must appreciate His goodness for us of, which there’s no charge. Why is He so kind to us, do you think we’ve earned it, His kindness? Surely not! With how people behave! He only serves us with compassion because He is God. If He was like man, we would all have died for wants. We’ve earned no right to His goodness but due to His heart, which is full of righteousness He helps, everyone. Other than that, ouch! We’d all be done away with some ages ago.
Acknowledging all that, He deserves many thanks and much praise from us continually. We are in debt to our God and not Him to us. He gives to us the entire world, with all His creations to occupy, and to take care of. All we need to do is to seek Him for directions, in others words, to let Him lead. It has taken Him five days getting everything ready; then, He made us. His intention was that, we should live well. It is sin why we suffer shortage. Had it not been for sin, we would all be comfortable and free.
It’s sin that caused man to lose his freedom. It’s sin placed us into bondage. Sin, however, can be overcome by repentance; whereby, no one should anymore live in captivity to it. The Lord God makes a way. He sent His son, His only son: our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Who went to Calvary, and died on the cross, where He sets us free. Martin L. King, he shouted for freedom in this manner: “Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, we are free at last.” Crying for freedom, is not a light call, it’s stressful and very meaningful. Everyone should have freedom.
Mind you, getting free from oppression and depression is very good; yet, there’s nothing to compare with being free from sin. I’m thanking God who makes it possible, for us to have such a free precious gift. I know that it is easy to fall into sin; in addition, I also know that, it is just as easy to repent of it, whenever it should happen. At the same time, I’m not saying to anyone, go and sin as there’s repentance. No! What I mean is, temptation is everywhere, in abundance. Then if you fall prey to it, repent. Do that whenever it’s necessary.
