Now that you've given me him, help me to protect him from the fears that I inspire in his heart. Let the grace that grows in his eyes pout out through his words. When we make love, let our souls combine into one person, throwing away all of our secret pasts. Lord, let me open my heart to all that we are and all that we shall become. You've given him the love deeper and true r than even the stars, now help me to be a vessel strong enough to hold it. Even as all of my scars are exposed, let him see past them and into the beating heart inside. Help him to erase those jagged lines from my skin and my soul. He knows how to hurt me Lord, but protect my heart. When he can't see you, let him see me, his angel, watching over and out for him. Help me to be his strength, his passionate solitude.
