Winners24 has became wildly popular since its launch in late summer 2009. But with promises of "winning" merchandise for pennies on the dollar, is this site for real? Learn the truth before signing up!

I was first introduced to the site winners24.com three months ago, and have since been reviewing, watching and occasionally using it.  I was immediately skeptical of the site, but was interested to see if it was the scam I assumed. Here is what I found.

Winners24.com is sort of a bidding site like ebay, but with a twist. I say sort of because unlike bidding sites, you must buy your bids. The normal price to place one bid is $1, but there are frequent auctions to buy bids for as little as 5 cents each. You then use these bids on an item
you wish to purchase when it goes up for auction. The auctions feel much like an internet horse race. When an Item goes up, a timer is set for 15 - 20 seconds. Each time a bid is placed, the timer restarts to allow others to outbid you. This eliminates the approach of placing your bid at the last second to win, and allows endless time to drive up the price of an item. Each bid makes the new price of the item go up 1-3 cents.
