Alone in this city of loneliness. I would have never thought to find myself alone at the age of almost 30 I think this city of New York has sunken to new lows. I have a great job I’m in descent shape and I do ok for myself and I cant find her. I see all these woman they have problems so called issues. I know im not looking in the wrong places. . They all been hurt and they think us men did something wrong to them. But we did nothing wrong, I did nothing wrong. They think will hurt them again there judging us, they tell me no were not. But we are being punished for someone else’s mistakes. It’s not like I haven’t been hurt had my heart ripped out many times. I’m strong. I tried to meet women at my job. I call them and they say there busy so I try calling a couple of times and cant get a hold them. Just games. I get tired I get disinterested I’ve tried Match.com and personals and I try to date online same thing, same crap. People in the city are selfish zoned out in there own world I wrote a book about it well there a lot of messages about New York people in the book. People say New York is the nicest city in the world I think one of the must rude and nasty cities I give my seat up on the bus and hold doors open but barely do get even a thank you. It’s a great city for writing and getting your words out there but that’s about it. I can only hope the women snap out of this phase and just meet a nice guy like me or other men like me that are still looking still craving and still searching out there for our soul mate there true love.

I have experienced the same kind of thing as you. I have also found that many women have good reason to be suspicious of men. So many have given us a bad name. The thing is not to become despondent, as, nowadays it is very difficult for most people to meet those who have much in common with them anyway. Sooner, or later we all get the chance at a relationship and unless the 'other' person is carrying too much emotional 'baggage' there is a very good chance of it working out. Hope you have found someone by now.

What you say is certainly true of some women Garrett. I think they have made it difficult, for some of us 'decent' ones. I like mannners in a man, and even I hold doors open for people who don't even say thanks, let alone give me a smile for bothering.
I do not paint all men with the same brush, though I have met and known some very devious ones.
I wish you the best. Don't become cynical though, as there are some lovely ladies who will be looking for someone like you. Where or when you can meet them is another matter. Perhaps it is just fate?
Good luck and I like your writing.

I would hesitate to call it style.
I would hesitate to call it writing even.
