today is the challenge - 8 am for a start time for me. Because it is said 'start off with something small' - I did. Most of the books I will read today will be under 200 pages- I am committing to 12 to 14 hours tops. I plan to do Harlequin's which take me an average of 2 hours plus books by new authors - sometime less - sometimes a little more. I will list my goal and check off as I do.
MANDY THE ALPHA DOG - Paula Shene 1/2 hour read to grandkids 36 pages
#466 DANGEROUS - Charlotte Lamb 1 hour + 50 mins 187 pages
#40 MISTRESS AGAINST HER WILL by lee Wilkinson1 hour+ 47 mins 184 pages
#2797 MEDITERRANEAN MILLIONAIRE'S RELUCTANT MISTRESS by Carole Mortimer 1 hour + 49 min 186 pages
#2814 FRENCH TYCOON'S PREGNANT MISTRESS by Abby Green 1 hour+ 48 min 185 pages
A POET'S JOURNAL by Dawn Renae Rarick [she has a site on this - AuthorsDen] 46 min 84 pages
SANCTION by James Magwood [he has site on this - Authorsden and also is administrator of Authors-Inn] 1 hour ~ 100 pages ~ sleep maybe more in am before 8 am.
What the Gregg - on line comics - thought I'd read the current month but had to go back to see the rest - especially after directing employees and listening to higher ups with the ideas no one in this reality could relate to. About 25 pages - 5 minutes
Eva was the only one I heard from so she gets my vote.
I was unable to continue reading because my husband was demanding my attention ~ when life interferes ~ reading suffers.
I had fun with some of the contests and enjoyed reading the comments. I totally enjoyed participating and being able to donate books and would love to participate again next year.
I was able to read a book by a fellow PublishAmerica author, Dawn Ranae Rarick, A POET'S JOURNAL which I enjoyed and will re read - her poems are heartfelt.
And, I got 1/4 into Jim magwood's book, SANCTION which deals with global terrorism - a slower read [threads to weave together, therefore to linger over] than the 'candy' Harlequins I zipped through. I find for long haul reading, 'lite' reading is required for me.
Thank you to Ella [Musing and Writings] and for the invite to this event.
