Eight ways to live happily all year long!
By Cline Clark
- Listen to your inner voice – We all have mind chatter that clutters our thoughts with uselessness, listen to it anyway. It’s the thinking machine of your brain feeding words into your awareness outside of the logic-box, hear it out. You may find the inner genius can solve a lot of problems for you.
- Cut through the garbage – Those pressures you feel other people putting on you don’t really matter in the long run. Just stick to your own ideas for today and watch how happy you make others anyway.
- Keep it simple – There are enough complications provided by workplace, rules and regulations and trying to move ahead without thinking up details that will never get handled anyway.
- Do it for yourself – You’ll never make everybody happy so start with yourself. If it makes you feel good or like you’re in control of your day, who cares.
- Plan the short run—don’t make a 30 year plan and try to jam it into the next 12 months. Just figure what you can handle during the next week, or just a few days. There will be new stuff that will happen as you go along do smash any long-time plan.
- Enjoy every minute – If it’s a worry, you’re off the plan. Get happy.
- Make someone else happy – and while you’re being happy, make someone else happy too. Do something nice for them that isn’t just politically correct.
- Avoid debates -- no need to argue – it isn’t fun and doesn’t make anybody really happy.
