Past history...gone into oblivion...never to be seen again.
Believe me folks Ive gone through this all before. Remember when THEY replaced radio? Everyone said radio was dead...well DUH!!
Am I STILL listening to radio...YEAHHH!
Did I throw away my TV set when remote control was invented? Of course not! Do I sit around like a couch potato? OF course not! Im up and down changing channels like a REAL AMERICAN!
Did I scrap my set when Color TV made the scene? Yeah Right, Im sure Im going to throw out a perfectly good set just because it occasionally gets a few blown out tubes and the picture rolls and you have to hold the antenna a certain wall and it snows even in the summer. As long as I have my little rainbow plastic sheet that fits over the screen I have all the color I need.
Tell Ya a little secret the best movies are in black and white anyway.
Do I have cable? Are you CRAZY? What good are a hundred channels, you can only watch one at a time...unless you have picture in a picture, and dont even ask me about that.
Am I going to run out and buy an expensive digital set or get a convertible box or get cable so I can pay big bucks to watch the same shows I used to see for free? Heck no!
If it were up to me Id be riding a horse, turning the knobs and holding the antennae of a black and white TV, and listening to THE SHADOW on my Majestic radio.
Ill bet within the next hundred years they come up with something to replace all this digital stuff.
Progress is only progressive if you let it be.
