an abbreviated excerpt from What About Me
The Law of Attraction, simple as it is, is broken down thus: whatever you project is returned to you. Feelings and desires do not lay dormant within you. They are projected outward. Some people "wear their hearts on their sleeves", and others are more guarded in their expression, but all people emote. You, as an individual, intend your world whether you realize it or not. If you are feeling pain, pain is then projected from you, and then pain is returned to you. If you are feeling joy, your joy is increased as it comes back to you.
The Law of Attraction is fueled by the the power of intention. Rather than be at the mercy of your feelings, they can be guided to bring only benefit to you. If you wish to be healthy, you must believe at your core of being that you are healthy. You intend good health. If your belief holds strong, that feeling of good health is projected from you, and is then returned to you.
This all sounds too good to be true , but it works as long as you are true to it. Besides, your mother used to tell you about the law of attraction all the time, when she would say things to you, like, "Think good thoughts!", or, "Put a smile on your face!", or, "I love you!" That was always your mother's intention, whether you believed her or not. Love is like that. No matter how much resistance is leveled against it, Love always moves forward.
The Law of Attraction is something than can be used by you personally, to bolster you from the inside out, to help you focus on yourself at your core of being, where all truth resides. The Power of Persuasion is something the other guy uses to bend you to his way of thinking and causes you to behave in a manner that is advantageous to him, thus robbing you of your ability to think and do for yourself. I am not trying to persuade you of this, because, after all, this has to do with you, not me. I have already found my peace.
