A Love Poem: Just Around the Bend

This is a love poem I wrote that was inspired by a friend.

"Just Around The Bend"

Sifting through the weight of thoughts and sliding through the sand

I could not help but recognize the grandeur of the land

Hills and greens and lovely things seemed to grasp my view

But then my eye with sharp reply caught your quiet cue

O'er the fields and hills I climbed in search of what I
saw

My diligent cry to find the light of beautiful breaking dawn

And as the grass behind me passed I found paper and a pen

"You missed me then, you missed me again - I was just around the bend"
