The restoration story of Wiggit Hall Guesthouse, a romantic B & B retreat in Elora, Ontario, Canada

                                            Excerpt

There's a certain ambience inherent in century homes ... a familiar, comforting aroma that conjures up memories of apple pie cooling on the window sill and crisp linen sheets dried in the breeze. It's the magical aura of past lives lived, oft times hidden beneath tragic 1970's decor and the new religion of synthetic laminate flooring.

In 2004, when Julie and Jeff said "enough" to Toronto city life and began scouring MLS listings, Grandma's house is exactly what they had in mind: a spacious old property in a quaint, yet inspiring, setting where they could realize their dream of becoming inn-keepers. Full story & photos of historic Wiggit Hall in the December 2009 issue # 22 of Edifice Magazine.
