This article discusses how the self-sufficiency program helps families set goals and provide services to help families who currently use vouchers, achieve home ownership

Sometimes life throws us an unexpected curveball. That curveball often comes in the form of financial hardship. Many families are struggling just to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Often times it seems that there is no hope and that their situation will never get better. Thankfully, that is not always the case and there are options available for families to help turn their situation around. One of those agencies lending a helping hand in Chicago is the Chicago Housing Authority program that teaches those families how to become self-sufficient.
