Using drag-n-drop, you can save yourself the anguish of a virus-crashed computer ...

We have all been through this:

Here comes the virus, eating your Windows or snatching your vital information like email contacts and your passwords, etc. You already know that System Restore [restoring your system to a prior system save point] is the quickest answer. But that virus is messing with you, and you cannot quite remember where to swiftly find System Restore ...

Go to your Start Menu, then All Programs>Accesories>System Tools. Hover your pointer on System Restore. Holding down your Left-Click, drag System Restore to your main screen and drop it. This gives you an on-screen shortcut to System Restore, thus saving you precious time while a virus is eating your Windows, snatching the password to your PayPay account, etc.

System Restore will suggest the most recent system save point. Use this.

Also worthy of noting: Your Home Page [MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Google, etc.] is a primary target for hackers. This is where they park most of their soooooooo creative viruses, Trojans, key-loggers, and so on. I have learned to avoid going to my Home Page almost all of the time. You can use the same drag-n-drop trick to make your most-used Favorites into on-screen shortcuts [to do this, you only need to resize your Home Page so that you have some of your main screen showing]. Avoid using your Home Page and you will avoid most viral attacks. I have all of my most-visited sites [TWF, AD, Farmville, Facebook, email ...] on my main screen as shortcuts, and I seldom see a virus anymore. This is a good thing  :)

Be safe and keep the Internet a fun place for play

Ted
