Present: Tense! by Julie Donner Andersen, although written for wives of widowers, may be enjoyed by women universally.  Much of the wisdom and many of the solutions may be applied to other life situations, though it is invaluable to wives of widowers.  It flowed well and kept one's interest throughout.  Her summaries toward the end are lessons in life for everyone.   "Loving and marrying a widow/er is no easy task, especially when you must accept that the man or woman you have vowed to love and support forever shares his/her heart with someone else.  That, in and of itself, makes all second spouses of the bereaved very brave souls."
