Attitude can have everything to do with something as simple as a seasonal cold.
When the local 10 o’clock news report grants us with the yearly flu season warning, promising that the sniffles are inevitable, refrain from running to your local pharmacy to stock up on copious amounts of cold and flu remedies redundantly advertised in every television and radio commercial which also remind us which time of year is upon us. The fact of the matter is if we all spent more time enjoying the beauty of the fall season while enjoying the brisk autumn air and the changing colors of leaves, we wouldn’t be as concerned about catching the common cold or flu.
Studies have shown that eliminating stress and cleaning up the negative attitudes will do wonders for our health, whether involving a simple cold or a serious disease. Concluded in such studies, it was determined that people who have a positive outlook will live a healthy lifestyle. An individual who chooses the healthy foods to eat, makes it a point of daily exercise, and gets plenty of rest is less likely to be plagued by the germs of seasonal illnesses. And, when a positive, health conscious individual happens to catch that sniffle, the duration is far less than it’d be for the one awaiting the flu devil to deliver their expected illness.
Rather than overstocking a cupboard filled with over the counter medications, try putting some positive thought into how you will not catch the latest flu bug. It seems there is a lot to be said about the chain reaction of a positive attitude which leads to living and staying healthy.
