My fourteen year old son wrote a story for one of his classes at school. I found this humorous, even if it's at my expense and felt he did a good job overall bringing his story together. Hopefully, some of you will get a kick out of this.

I’m going to be writing about three descriptive personality traits that will give you a vivid  image of who my Mom is.  First, I'm going to talk  about what happens when my Mom gets mad.  Secondly, is the image of her being very protective especially if you want to hurt me.  The third trait has to do with all of the support she gives me in sports, growing up, and making choices in every area of my life.

The first trait description has to do with my Mom getting mad.  Her voice changes into this deep Brooklyn accent from the East Coast.  Her voice gets scary sounding and you

want to drop dead from fear.  At the same time that your scared to death it’s also funny because she also has this strange laugh when she’s real angry.  It is very difficult for me to explain the change in her voice and the laughing but one things for sure, when I hear the change and see her laughing it means one thing...Danger!

The second description I’m going  to write about is how she is very protective.  It’s kinda cool and reassuring to know that your Mom is always there for you especially in scary or dangerous situations.  There was this one incident where my brother and I stayed the night at a friend’s house.  We were shooting basketballs at night across the street from our friend’s house.  One of the neighbor’s had a seven year old daughter that kept getting in the middle of the game and she kept kicking my brother.  It was about ten or eleven at night and we all kept telling her to please stop.  She finally got mad and went into her house and told her Dad a lie that we were putting our behinds in her face.  Her Dad came outside and started yelling at us and getting in our faces, you could smell the alcohol on his breathe and he said he was a Marine and he threatened my brother.  This man had us scared to death, we thought he was going to hit us.  Our friend’s Mom had fallen asleep so we went in the house and the next day we told our Mom what had happened.  She was very upset that we hadn’t called her immediately and she came right over and talked to our friend’s Mom.  Rather than confront the man my Mom called the police to help resolve this problem.  The man apologized and this was a good lesson for us on how to resolve problems the right way.  This is just one example of how my Mom being protective is a good thing even though I don’t always like her being protective, I know it's for the best.

The third description is how my Mom supports me in everything I do.  She may not like everything I do but she is always behind me 100%.  She always attends all of my games and she tries to be a good team Mom.  For instance, she buys drinks for the team, bakes cakes and cookies and she always cheering for all of us and yelling at the ref’s when they make bad calls.  That’s how my whole family is, you support me, I’ll support you, we all support each other.

I picked this person because she is a super Mom.  She does everything she can to make me happy and to teach me right from wrong.  First, when she gets mad she laughs and develops her Brooklyn voice that’s because she lived in Brooklyn for several years when she was growing up.  Secondly, I may not always like it when she’s protective but most of the time it’s for my own good.  Thirdly she is very supportive.  With everything I have told you I know you will agree that I have a great Mom.

He is wise beyond his years and has written a well constucted story right from his heart to a Mom anybody would be proud of. So many kids today are neglected by their parents so I would say he is a very lucky kid to have a mom like you.
