Our inner child runs our life if we tend to react to events and people with unpredictable out of control emotions.

Our top three chakras above our heart deal with our ability of giving truth, insight, wisdom, and purpose. Our heart intermediates between our top and bottom chakras and as our wounded inner child heals, our heart opens more, reaching out to others with loving arms.

Our inner child yearns for us, as the adult, to hear, love, and heal them. When we choose to continue to ignore that undeveloped emotional part of our self, than our inner child will continue to run our life without us being conscious of this. We can identify if our inner child runs our life if we tend to react to events and people with unpredictable out of control emotions.

So now, we have a choice. We can continue to react and keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results or we can choose growth and healing for our inner child and emotions.

A great deal of healing goes on for the inner child in the first three lower chakras. Our inner child also requires unconditional love in fostering life and growth. In our healing toward wholeness, we can help our inner child mature into a fully-grown adult.

Our inner child needs an environment of unconditional love. When we walk through the door of a healer, we should feel an air of unconditional love and nurturing. Our inner children want to feel safe as if wrapped in the arms of a loving mother.

We can be a loving mother or father to our inner child. We can visualize our inner child at a particular age and feel or see them in our arms. Look into its eyes, stroke it, and speak to it for this child is us. The child will than feel safe to come out of hiding into our arms. We can imagine holding our child against our chest. We speak to it and allow it to speak to us about its needs.

When our inner child feels safe, she or he can move into higher levels of joy as fears lift. Until we fully heal, a part of us will feel like an unloved child. Releasing all the issues of hurt, the inner child grows closer. This adult opens in childlike wonderment to all life. Do you want a happy healthy inner child?

One good inner child healing technique to begin with is John Bradshaw’s Homecoming: Reclaiming and Championing Your Inner Child in audio or paperback.
