People have probably seen the posting for my book, "Rock And Roll Children" and have been tunred off by the thought of a book on heavy metal music. The main reason I wrote the book is because I think that heavy metal is as just a viable form of music as is pop, classical, jazz and country music is. The problem is that heavy metal projects this negative views that the music will turn teenage boys into mad psycho devil worshippers and teenage girls will immediately fall pregnant upon listening to it.
So, what I am going to attempt to do here is take all interested readers on a tour of heavy metal history. I will start with the founding fathers of metal such as Jimi Hendrix and Black Sabbath through to heavy metal's golden age, the 1980s. I will feature the acts who influenced the music, their albums and the history behind them.
I hope everyone to come on for the ride and take a look at the rich history behind a misunderstood, little known genre of music. I will guarantee that if you are not a metal head, you will come out the end knowing things you didn't before and if you are a metalhead, you will appreciate the history behind the music.
