Manners, a lost art?

I know, many think writing a thank you letter is a thing of the past.  But let's think about this.  Wouldn't you love to recieve a thank you note for things you do, let alone gifts you buy someone?

Everyone likes to get mail; what better than to send a little thank you to someone when they buy you a gift or have done an act of kindness for you?

Please and thank you should not be a lost art.  I think you will be amazed if you start sending out thank you notes at the changes you will see in people.

It doesn't have to be some long letter.  You can buy the thank you cards at a store and just write a quick little note inside saying what you are thankful for.

Want to get a little more creative?  If it is for a gift, how about including a picture of you with the gift?  A child's birthday party: send some snap shots of the party goer along with the child opening the present.  You can even make little scrapbooks from tags to send as your thank you note.

Like many other manners I would like to see more and more people continuing to practice sending thank you notes.  Go ahead and send one today :)

I would like to see manners come back into our society, too, Katryn. It seems that we have forgotten the art of being courteous and polite. Sad! Well done article!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
