No One Has Been Discriminating Against Christmas
I am sick and tired of listening to all the whiny Christians complaining that we're trying to "war against" or "destroy Christmas" by replacing it with Happy Holidays. Let's put on the brakes and back the fucking truck up – shall we? When have WHITE CHRISTIANS ever been discriminated against in the U.S. ??? You people don't have the faintest clue what discrimination is.
-The African American people were slaves and discriminated against by Christian White Folks.
-The Jews were sent to concentration camps and murdered by Christian White Folks.
-The Pagans were tortured, prosecuted, and put to death by Christian White Folks.
First, Happy Holidays has nothing to do with Political Correctness. It is simply a term that shows we have "GROWN UP" and have learned to have respect for other beliefs, mainly Pagan, Jewish, and African American holidays that also happen around this time of year.
I don't know about all of you, but not all my friends are Judeo-Christian. So instead of having to go out and spend three times as much money for cards specific to various holidays – I often send generic "Happy Holidays" cards because they're all inclusive and they're far more respectful to others. I don't mind showing respect to my friends by not forcing my beliefs on them. I imagine Joyous Rite to Belial cards would go over like a plate of shit at a dinner party. Daemon worship anyone?
Secondly, the Christians stole the Winter Solstice from the pre-Christian pagans to get people to convert to Christianity. It was originally the Birth of the Sun (i.e. the Sun in the sky!) because the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year, and after it the days start getting longer again. Hence the "birth" of the Sun. Now it's the Birth of the Son – i.e. they labeled it Jesus' birthday because that's the only way they could convert the heathen masses at the time. Many historians and scholars say that the records indicate Jesus was actually born in the summer months. If you'd like to read more (don't cover your ears and scream "Lalalalala" because you look like an ass) –
Third – the Christians do not OWN the December Holidays. There are, to my knowledge, four different religious holidays from the mid to end of December. Get over it already.
This whole – "They're trying to take away Christmas!" Bullshit is the Christians' way of getting angry because they're not allowed to discriminate anymore. It makes them angry that they have to share this country with people of other cultures and faiths and they want it to remain an all Christian nation.
What's next? Burning people at the stake? Concentration camps for the non-believers? Deportation for non-Christian folks? Not acknowledging those of us of different faiths doesn't mean we're not here!
So if you are Christian – Merry Christmas!
If you're Pagan – Happy Solstice!
If you're African American – Happy Kwanza!
If you're Jewish – Happy Hanukkah!
For any Christian who is so closed minded and intolerant of anyone else's traditions and beliefs except for their own – I hope you burn in your Christian hell.

|Excellent article! This line -- the Christians stole the Winter Solstice from the pre-Christian pagans to get people to convert to Christianity Thank you for saying what needs to be said -- puts the whole thing into perspective, and points out what has their panties in such a wad. Poor fools don't even know their own history, or how they've been manipulated by their own leaders and continue to project their ignorance onto others. It's really very sad, but I've run out of patience for those who choose to remain ignorant instead of taking the time to learn what they need to know. Let them stay ignorant in the privacy of their own homes and churches and stop forcing their crazy ideas on the rest of us.|
