JETT DURANGO
Sweetwater's storyline in the Jett Durango Feature Film brings about powerful suspense to the Powder River Jesus in a way which makes the detailed imagery of this lesbian western iconic and memorable. This particular storyline incorporates wrath and religious conflict which makes the ideal place to use suspense. In doing so, Sweetwater easily lets that element spill over into the spin-off Jett Durango TV Series. By using Mise-en-scene, essentially means “visual theme ” and refers to everything that appears before the camera and the way it is arranged allows Sweetwater to carry through her suspenseful vision and ongoing conflict of white collars.

Incorporating a train rolling down the tracks, Sweetwater's most surprising scene in the Jett Durango feature film leaves a cliffhanger that is revived in the Jett Durango TV Series. The train acts as a barrier, a temporary "blocking" scene of religious emotion as an ideal place to use suspense. Sweetwater wants her audience to "come back" to her storyline in their own living rooms on their TV screens from the movie theater.

Dominga Rio of Cuero
Sweetwater uses the Judas horse all throughout to give suspense. The Judas is a powerful vehicle Sweetwater uses to create notable scenes that are filled with an abundant amount of action/adventure and tension. Sweetwater chose the Judas to make the audience aware of the "clairvoyant equine" who was the mount of an Indian chief in a past life. The film also focuses on a political enigma in a most powerful suspenseful delivery of a cult blockbuster. All throughout the explosive anvil vindicates all that needs be. Suspense plays a big role in the anvil and whose hands it passes through and who wants to get their hands on it. Sweetwater uses suspense at its highest in a rival warfare unequalled in tour de force. Sweetwater uses the power of a cliffhanger wisely in the finale of the film to carry over to its sequel film Madam Blaze Starr: Whiskey and Sagebrush Truth in Eights and Aces.

The Sundance Wives: The Gates of Doogun Hill
Sweetwater uses the age-old western theme of greed, deception and vengeance, but goes one step further in that the vengeance plays itself out through divine intervention. Sweetwater experimented with this theme all throughout fully producing captivating results. Using suspense in this film with her signature style, Sweetwater pays homage to the good, bad and the ugly of religion. Choosing to name false religion and give monikers to orphan child characters personalized as her motivator, and embracing a powerful Oath, the suspense is built-in and takes its truth from noteworthy incident.

Madam Blaze Starr: Whiskey and Sagebrush Truth in Eights and Aces
Sweetwater's genius in this film merges storytelling in two different centuries. The historical madam in the first half of the film settles it with morphine. Suspense in the first half of the film is set in the late 1800s ushering it in as a period piece and the second half set in modern-day. Using historical characters with dead-on accuracy, the suspense builds in a keg-buster with Wyatt Earp and his brother Virgil in a shootout with bootleggers and poachers. In a double-play of 1800s suspense is a chilling abduction wound tight with obsession. The suspense of the modern-day pulpit going to hell casts the born-again madam of the modern-day brothel the lead star of second half of the film who settles it with opium. A tie-in sequel, Dominga Rio finds closure in the madam's barn through the suspense of delivering new life in a revival of sorts.

From the Convent to the Rawhide: The Saga of Sadie Cade and Vi Montana
Although this is the only screenplay that Sweetwater didn't write adapted from her novel before she started writing screenplays, the suspense reveals itself from its very title From the Convent to the Rawhide, that is the suspense. Sweetwater hired a screenwriter and paid a hefty sum for the finished screenplay. She furnished the screenwriter a complete outline of the book of what was to appear in the screenplay. The screenwriter added some elements Sweetwater approved of to enhance the story for screen presentation.
