Alaskans have held their own by utilizing their own resources and services. Sarah Palin has made the ultimate sacrifice while others continue to not follow rules and regulations to protect our country.

What impact has the utilization of illegal aliens had on our Economy.

One may read a variety of articles pertaining to the dark side of illegal immigration pertaining to crime in America.  But what about the impact illegal aliens pose upon American Business?

Every day small businesses are closing because they no longer may survive in this economy. Wall Street, the Banking Industry and the AIG are not the sole reasons.

Today’s businesses must cut costs in order to survive.  Those cuts may include hiring illegal aliens, dropping employees with others taking on more duties or dropping benefits.  In dropping health insurance benefits there can be no favoritism so all benefits are dropped.  Or one may change the status of employees to a part-time basis which causes workers pay the full brunt of their insurance premiums under COBRA.

And now our government is considering fining those individuals who are not provided health benefits.   The majority of people who work in the United States today can only afford the basic necessities, food, clothing and shelter. And today, business is on a survival mode as well with the unemployment rate rising daily.

Why would the government bureaucrats worry?  Most are paid high amounts of money, many of which average $200,000 a year with full benefits paid for by the Government.  In comparison, what about the average Joe, who is lucky to receive minimum wage or at maximum some $30,000 a year?  With little money one cannot afford benefits for their family much less for themselves individually?

Personally those hired in government positions including those who we vote in should be required to take psychological tests similar to those businesses require when hiring.

Yes, we want our loved ones back and we do not wish to fight wars except those which affect us in this country.  I thank those who serve our armed forces and have protected our country each and every day.  May God look favorably upon you and protect you.  Yet, what do we have for those who finally come home, a job?  Possibly not because today, even though their jobs are to be held, the business they previously worked for is no longer operating.  The doors have been closed and the owners are upside down in finances or have declared bankruptcy.  What a great future, isn’t it.

In fact as the economy was turning, many who were in the Military reserves, or those who had an option to go back to the wars did.  And you may ask why.  Some could not find jobs.  This includes those women who are single or divorced and could not find a job to support their children.  You see this on the news daily.  I have a niece who is currently in Iraq.  She has left her two children with relatives because she could not earn enough money to support them through her minimum wage jobs and she did not wish to be on assistance.

Although the value given our Military to protect us is never enough, others like my niece are able to receive benefits, and to provide necessary care for their children as well as providing a means of support.  And my niece is one of many females who have returned to the military for these reasons. They believe in our country and they believe in protecting their own

I am not against free trade. But each country must regulate trade so that it benefits the lives of its respective citizens.  Too many jobs have gone overseas where business is not so overtaxed and where it is not regulated to pay benefits.  Those countries then benefit from our products and industries.

The Government is the only business today who is able to provide adequate benefits at no cost to those in its employ.  We all know it is our blood, sweat and tears which has made our government so powerful.  Yet, Government feels businesses should comply by providing like benefits or paying at least 50% of benefits costs, at least, when these businesses barely can survive financially.  People cannot afford goods and services as they have in the past.  And now after rising taxes and bailouts, we the people of the United States face fines for not carrying insurance we cannot afford because our jobs have been taken away?:.

But let’s go back to how the hiring of illegal aliens may have affected commerce. Each of us has worked hard so that we may benefit our families and live a normal existence in our old age.  And, now those who are illegal are receiving more benefit than those who have been in this country from the time they were born, paying taxes and building our industries.  Our forefathers fought for our rights and provided us with the ability to have a voice in government.  And what of free trade which has hurt each of us in some part because we have not protected the pricing of our exports but have virtually allowed numerous cheap unprotected imports in this country which have undermined our American businesses.  Yes the larger businesses took advantage of the spread, but now with the world economy are seeing why this should have not taken place to the extent it has.

When you read my book the Savvy Businessperson’s Guide to Property and Casualty Insurance, you will realize by the insurance products listed how those business in the United States protect themselves and you as a consumer by having all industries carry insurance and bonds.  If a businessperson does not retain any such insurance, he or she would not be in business long. This is because, unlike illegal aliens who do not own property or pay taxes, our sole purpose is to build estates.  These estates could be taken from us if we did not protect our liabilities and property by insurance and be able to pay for the resultant legal recourse.  What is good for our citizens must be good for all who live here. The rules must be followed by all who exist here.

In most cases if an illegal alien performs a job which is defective, they change their name, close their doors and run to a new area.  In most cases taxes are not even paid by the illegal alien but they do somehow receive some welfare.  They do not go to jail as those of this country who are accused of wrongdoings but rather they are just shipped back to their country. Welfare was provided years ago for migrant workers who assisted in the sugar beet fields, but today, aliens are provided far more in benefits, even exceeding those provided to Citizens.  And it is not just the crime which has arisen but the jobs they have taken because business could not compete with the imports of other countries and the damage as a result because illegal aliens were not required to become legal and abide by the rules of jurisdiction.

Yesterday, I spoke to a contractor in the State of California.  He was having difficulty in keeping his business afloat, as do other contractors in his position.  And you may say, oh it is because of the construction market.  But that is not the case.  It is due to uninsured illegal aliens taking jobs away from those who handle business legally.  They are not required to provide insurance or bonds and even if a minority contractor is a woman or of another race, the illegal aliens because of their lack of compliance to such requirements offer work at only a fraction of other bids by those utilizing the legal system..

The same problem lied in the State of Florida. Illegal Aliens arrive in this country with the hopes of earning a living in a country they consider free.  They bid jobs that other contractors bid but at a fraction of the price.  And, why is that?  It is because they are not required to carry insurance and they have no bonds. Yet, when one tries to sell a product or service to an illegal alien or one who does not value our Country’s values, they grunt and say “I no speakee English”.  If no English is spoken those who are Spanish speaking should move to Dade County, Florida where the English languish is not the prominent or legal language.

Well maybe you don’t care as a homeowner unless you are in a State which requires you to carry workers compensation insurance on domestic workers.  But as some of the Condominium Associations found out in the State of Florida, its illegal aliens cost the associations thousands of dollars in association fees.  Unit owners slipping on slippery floors or without adequate warnings who sued the Association who in turn blamed the Directors and suits were made against directors and officers liability insurance.    Workers who were hurt and the contractor did not carry workers compensation insurance were required to turn to the State for help.  The State then in turn placed their injuries under the Condo’s workers compensation insurance or made the Condo Association responsible for such injuries and the resulting high experience rating of their own workers compensation.  Great isn’t it.  Yes it turns back to you.

In my book the Savvy Businessperson’s Guide to Property and Casualty Insurance, I have shown some examples of what the construction defect market has done to contractors and the cost of such insurance as a result.   Today illegal aliens are securing the majority of such jobs because of their low cost.  But what happens when the materials or labor are inferior.

Unlike your licensed, insurance and bonded contractor, you as the consumer have no ability to seek a remedy for damages or injury.  Rather, your illegal contractor has left town with your money and you may have to pay a much higher price to rectify the problem in the future.

Personally, I would rather work with someone who is legal because if I have a problem I have choices and that includes a lawsuit for wrongful damage or harm.  But I do not believe in excessive lawsuits which have actually damaged the insurance industry.  In most cases an insurance subrogation will assist to the full extent of the law.

I am told now that the State of California has now advertised that one should use licensed and bonded contractors…but it may be a little too late since this travesty has caused much harm to the economy in the State of California.  Other State Contractors Boards have stated the ramifications of utilizing an unlicensed, uninsured contractor for years.  Again you have not listened and especially the retirees have been taken by such contractors’ jobs because they are gullible to saving a buck which sometimes turns into travesty for their livelihood.

In fact, one of my classmates joked that it was important to keep illegal aliens because his hotel costs were lower when travelling than if an American would be working for the same hotel.  I was shocked to hear of such comments whether meant as a joke or not. This is because so many Americans have given their blood and sweat to preserve this country and to work toward being Americans if they were not.  And illegal aliens of the past valued citizenship and the ability to learn the English language.  They were not the aliens of today who hide behind rocks, taking away our country’s value, using the system for their benefit and those of their children, and then run when it all goes wrong. Illegal aliens, who do not follow the rules to become citizens, do not feel they owe our great country anything.  Yes, our current Government wishes to fine its people for not purchasing insurance but will protect its illegal aliens by providing them not only benefits and education but social security as a result.

And to those of you in Government, who are using the race card, don’t even try.  You are hurting all of your citizens, not just a few who you feel make to much money because they have been innovative in their business endeavors. Your promises are getting old and your blame solely to past administrations is wrong.  If a mistake was made, learn from it and correct it.

So to you who are logical, I plea.  Use your power and voice to protect this Great Country. Seek the reasons why certain people are ridiculed and attacked.  Perhaps the reason for such actions is because of their empowerment to make a better world.  Others who are inferior by nature must protect themselves by silencing the voice of those who really are in the know because they are fearful of losing their own jobs or positions in life instead of admitting there is much to be learned. You see it in business everyday, in the dog-eat-dog world.  Your politicians were to have been better but they point fingers blaming others more than anyone I know.  Get rid of the manipulation and let’s get real, lest we have a Civil War and a usurpation of our own government.  And then what is to happen?  If we do not stand firm as a country will we remain a free nation, under God?

It was sad to see Sarah Palin give up her seat as the Governor of the Great State of Alaska.  For those of you who did not understand her most eloquent speech, she did this to save her Alaska from any future scars and costs while so many blackened her name without reason and that of her family.  I hope those who have caused Sarah Palin such overwhelming personal injury and financial doom due to legal costs are proud, because I think you are disgusting. Had anyone else have been so wrongly accused, their accuser would have had to pay the price.

Sarah Palin obviously is considered one of the most brilliant and innovative leaders of her time because so many have attacked her including her local newspapers.  And it is obvious she speaks with eloquence, intelligence and passion and can do so without a teleprompter. She is real and brilliant and no one may take that a way from her because she is empowered by her very nature.  She has made the greatest sacrifice for her state and her country.

It may be mentioned that even though the Alaskan newspapers did not reflect their love for Sarah, the true Alaskans did.  They protect and keep their own and do not have time for those who use the system. They buy Alaska made products or services and keep and save their Alaskan jobs.

Sarah Palin has done much for Alaska’s resources.  Her endeavors are similar to the great business acumen of Mitt Romney of the Great State of Utah.  And before you label me as a strict republican or conservative who only thinks as a conservative only, I beg to differ.  I was born a democrat but by the choice offered me as an American I do not need to choose just one party.  My choice is always the person who is willing and able to serve me and my country best. And this country obviously requires those who have business acumen to assist us in the future. Let’s leave the military to its Generals, the CIA and the FBI, who serve us best with their knowledge and abilities.  They have served us well from the beginning of time, why do we feel they need to be chastised for protecting us and treated as they are today.

Sarah Palin realized the costs to her great state were higher than the benefit of her remaining because of all the untrue accusations made against her. It is a great loss, but you chose not to listen.   Mitt Romney presented to this Country great business acumen, but you likewise did not listen either. It is not the time to play follow the leader or the crowd.

Be an individual and use the mind God gave you to think clearly.  We do not all have the same abilities nor do we arrive at the same conclusions, which makes us great and which expands our horizons.  But to loose sight of our equal amendment rights because we were too lazy to consider the consequences is wrong.  Think for yourself. So what if you are unpopular with the crowd.

This is only one State...............If this doesn't open eyes, nothing will!

The greatest damage done to our economy and way of life was done by putting an illegal alien in the white house, to lead a congress filled with insane theiving wackos. We need to replace him with an American non-professional politician. Sarah Palin... you got it!
