Graven upon the Palms of His Hands! What does this mean?

Graven upon the Palms of His Hands

“Behold,

I have graven thee

Upon the palms

Of My hands…”

Saith the Lord

In Isaiah 49: 16

What exactly does this mean?

On the day Christ was crucified

Roman soldiers pierced His palms

With those awful nails

Three days later

When Christ arose

His nail-scarred hands

Confirmed

Who He was!

Could this then be

What God meant when He said,

“Behold,

I have graven thee

Upon the palms

Of My hands?”

His nail-scarred hands remind Him

Of the sacrifice He made for us…

His nail-scarred hands remind us

Of the sacrifice He made for us.

Now, there’s something to think about!

You did this really well, now one thing though, does he need to be reminded? This love should not need a reminder, it is too strong. But, we do need reminders, the more the better, because humans do tend to forget, the good things done for them, they always remember the bad... human nature? B&R

It is certainly something to think about. That same wonderful man said, "There is no greater love than a man lay down his life for another." He hung on that cross in my stead. I will praise him for eternity for that. God Bless, Lew
