This One’s On Me
Did you know the Bible can provide comfort for just about anything…if you know where to look?
Case in point:
I met an elderly woman at the Greyhound bus terminal in Buffalo. We struck up a conversation. After a while, she said: “You have a kind face.”
Later, when I repeated this to my husband, he said, “Well, actually, what she meant was, ‘you have a kinda face…’”
Ouch! Husbands tell it like it is, eh? (smile)
Here are comforting words from Scripture:
· “A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.” (Matthew 13:57 KJ)
· Those who look to Him are radiant…(Psalm 34:5 KJ)
So next time someone says unkind words to you, do not despair! Turn to Scripture. It never disappoints!
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in Heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
God Bless!
Cheers!
