Although I like writing novels with action and or suspense in it; I seem to always let the Romantic side of me come out.

There are several reasons why I wrote "A Martian's Dream of Christmas". 1. I love the Christmas season. 2. I have also wanted to write for children. 3. I am a Christian. (Who has wandered and studied, via the library, other religions and their histories) 4. I like to think that I am an open-minded person (at least now)and I have always wondered what was beyond those stars I see every night. That in a nutshell,is the main reason I wrote that story. One other reason was , it was a challenge to try and combine all those ideas and turn them into a cohesive story worthy enough to be published. If the story teaches anything, I don't know , just as long as it is fun to read and the reader is entertained for awhile; that is good enough for me.

P.S. also at this stage in my writing career I am still searching for that genre I need to write to be a success.

So.... pass on the need to read to everyone you meet especially young people.

That's it for all of us, I think. We all write what we love or what interests us and hope to entertain those reading it. I agree with the other commenter. it was good and left us wanting more.

My main criticism is that I want more! I think it's too short. If you are going to write an article, and yours is informative and interesting, try to write at least 300 words! This reads like an opening paragraph of an article, so it would be great if you could develop your theme - prolong it and give the reader more please!
