"What you seek is hidden inside the beryl, all you want is cursed"

This story is set in modern day India, where a double murder takes the life of the last of the Mughal line of ancestors. What goes missing is a famous gemstone - the Tashi Beryl. Contained in its imperfection are lines that depict a map to treasure hidden away in the Himalaya by the great-grandfather. Who will get there first? Will the team of Rupert Donaldson and James Hathaway solve the crime and reveal the mystery of the beryl and the alabaster queen?

This is a adventure story as it unwinds on the old Silk Road leading to China and the ambisions of a Chinese woman that wants it all.

The intersection of the Silk Road and the trails from the Himalaya is where the action is.
