Mr Lux:

I humbly express my awe, for I have named my female child: Noelle. Russian. Yes, Meaning 'the giving' 'giver' And to me, it is a most important quality. Although, in my experience...there are many who feel so very uncomfortable by the gift of interesting...that O, my dusty houses, Ahhhh. Well.....$#%^&*Them. Yeap.

A very beautiful folk tale for the Holidays

Lawrance, this is a touching story written in the "fables of old" tradition we all loved as children (the ones with mythic undertones), and which I so sorely miss. Its message is uncluttered, direct and comforting, and told in a way that would easily appeal to a wide range of age groups and cultures. Kudos for creating a story with imagination, warmth and pathos, and for fashioning a discernible God filled with the charming gruff and big-heartedness of Father Christmas. After reading this, how could we not remember wishing as children that we could sit for hours in His fatherly lap, basking in the glow of His heavenly love?

Enjoyed your story very much, Lawrance! I am sending it along to my daughters to read to their sons. I really liked the imaginative manner in which you creatively combined spirituality with fantasy. I have heard of mysterious happenings at Christmas time! Who can really know when angels will appear? vicki
