New literary project geared to attract readers in Hinds and Rankin Counties.
In an effort to encourage more interest in books and the authors who write them, Conversations Book Club is pleased to roll out a new interactive program called Breakfast with Books. It allows the public to spend time with authors, ask questions about their work as well as meet fellow book lovers. For many of the authors, it is their first time visiting the state. Conversations Book Club hopes that this will help individuals who might not consider themselves readers find books that fit their interests. Each discussion is facilitated by Mississippis own C. A. Webb.
The following message is posted on the website www.breakfastwithbooks.com:
On behalf of Conversations Book Club, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in Breakfast with Books. This is a unique program designed to give you some quality time with the authors that we feature each month. The group meets at either the Medgar Evers Library (4215 Medgar Evers Library/ Jackson, MS) or McDonalds (inside the Pearl/Brandon Wal-Mart) on Saturday mornings. We begin each session at 9:30a.m. with breakfast, our discussions begin at 10a.m. and promptly conclude the event each time at 11a.m. We don't want to waste your time, only make it more enjoyable for you to talk with the authors that you love and discuss the books that you can't get enough of.
Admission is free, however, we do ask that you support each author by purchasing the books that they have as well as show your support for the Conversations Book Club projects. If you would like additional information, contact us at thebestbookclub.hotmail.com, our main website at www.thebestbookclub.info or by calling the Medgar Evers Library at 601.982.2867 or Allison Joyner of My Joy Inc (dba McDonalds) at 601.366.2999. Enjoy!
