When the alignment of planets occurs on 12/21/2012 it will allow the Winter solstice sun to rise the next day in the center of the galaxy we call the "Milky Way". This alignment only occurs once in 26,000 years. The center of the galaxy is sometimes called "the dark rift' because it is an area that no one has been able to penetrate with telescopes and see what is there. Recently there has been much talk about the "dark rift" and the possibility that it may actually be a worm hole or some sort of portal to another part of space or another universe. Is this the manner in which aliens have been able to come to Earth in the past to help us humans build things such as the pyramids of Egypt or Stonehenge in Britain? Will this planetary alignment allow them to return to see their handiwork? Will they return to help us out of the mess we have made of our world?

Should we be afraid of the date of the end of the Mayan calendar? Did the Maya see the end of the world or were they just signaling to the people of the future that a new age was approaching? We will indeed be moving into the Age of Aquarius which will last at least 14 years. Perhaps it is time for us to return to our spiritual roots instead of worshipping technology as we have been recently.

Rather than fearing 12/22/2012 let's embrace it and the new age it heralds.
