This was forwarded to me from a old friend. It is a sad state of affairs when men are prosicuted for doing their job by the government that employs them

Suzie,
I am outraged!
Two U.S. Border Patrol Agents -- Ignacio Ramos (a former nominee for border patrol agent of the Year), and Jose Compean -- have been found guilty and face prison terms of upwards of 20 years for doing their jobs in apprehending an illegal alien at our border.
Even more outrageous, this illegal alien is now suing the U.S. for $5 million for violating his civil rights!
Click here to read the full report and to sign our petition calling on President Bush to pardon these two officers:

Suzie, as I read this report, I became more and more incensed. These agents were doing their job and our government is prosecuting them! Even worse -- the U.S. Department of Homeland Security actually tracked down the illegal alien and gave him immunity to testify against our agents!
Did I mention that this illegal alien was smuggling 800 pounds of marijuana into our country?
This is a travesty of justice, and I'm not willing to sit idly by.
That's why we’ve launched this national petition to rally 100,000 citizens who are demanding the President pardon agents Ramos and Compean.
In fact, when you sign the petition, Grassfire will electronically deliver your petition directly to the White House. Click here to sign:

I also want to include your personal comment on this travesty in your petition to the President.
But we must hurry. Sentencing for these two agents is scheduled for August 22, and I want to make certain at least 100,000 petitions and personal comments flood the White House before then.
Thanks for taking immediate action with me.

P.S: This outrageous injustice demands citizen response, and I urge you to forward this message directly to your friends and family urging them to take action with you!
