Spiritual Life Coach and Author Samantha provides insight into how to approach the energy of fear.
After tweaking my life coaching programme yesterday to incorporate new ideas, I felt drawn to write about fear today.
I am aware that so many are struggling with fear issues at the moment and no one is alone within this experience though it does feel a lonely place when we are walking in it. As we walk through the process of ascension we are having to let go of all the fears and negative aspects that we have ever had, not only in this life time but in the ones that have gone before. I am noticing in my healing clients that patterns seem to be key to this. Anything that is part of a negative pattern of behaviour or experiences, such as a chain of relationships in which they have been abused in some way or a series of events in which people have walked away from what they wanted, seems to be rising up to be stripped out. We are being presented with opportunities to face the very things we are afraid of, the things that hold us back, so that we are free spirits again, as we should always have been.
So, what is fear?
Fear is an acronym for:
Fear is the emotion used by our minds personality, the ego, to stop us from doing the things that we truly wish to do. What holds us back and prevents us from moving forward within our lives into experiences that suit our desire to grow, learn and be is fear. or rather the power of fear. There is no stronger mechanism that holds us back from doing the things that need to be done than being in the experience of fear.
Are you experiencing fear?
* We fear intimacy,
* We fear being alone.
* We fear losing control.
* We fear failure and we fear success.
* Fear is when we get someone else to make that awkward telephone call.
* Fear is when we want to end a relationship but can't bring ourselves to do it.
* We experience fear when we face changes in life, even when we know they are good ones.
* We experience fear when we are presented with the opportunity to do the very thing we have been longing to do.
Think of fear as a decoy to distract you from doing what you truly want to do in life. Fear can be felt so strongly that we stop at the first hurdle.
What is fear stopping you from doing / being / having in your life right now?
So how do we tackle fear?
The truth is we learn to handle fear, we stop listening to it, yes we acknowledge it but we refuse to be crushed under the weight of it, we learn to walk through and realise we survive it. We turn it into a tool within our lives and we use the energy to empower us rather than hold us back.
As someone who was terrified to do platform I found myself earlier this year having to face that fear in order to proceed with The Soul Sanctuary. It was hurrendous and wonderful all at the same time!!! But I swear, I have never felt more empowered in that moment than at any moment before it. I took control back. I stop letting fear run my life and my work.
The first step to dealing with fear is to recognise how you behave when you are in fear, your thoughts and your actions. Learn to recognise when you are in fear, no matter how subtle, by the way you react to fear.
Two. When we realise we are in fear through the negative thought patterns we are having, we must take control back of our mind, we must stop the negative thoughts playing over in our mind - change the subject!
Three. Accept it! Accept that you are experiencing fear and then ask yourself what is this really about? Where is this fear really coming from? Is it truly from this moment or something that has gone on in the past?
Four. Forgive yourself. There is no need to be hard on yourself because you are afraid to do or be something, to bring in a change. Remember that this is your human nature rising.
Five. Trust. Trust yourself that you can do this and do what absolutely feels right to you. Do what you know you need to do.
