Jesus Was Not A Christian, Nor Was He The Founder Of The Christian Religion

This article establishes that Adam's world was not the first to be established on earth.

In Gen. 2:4, we read "These are the generations of the Heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens". This verse of the Bible gives an explanation to an important fact which is that the Bible divides the age of the earth into different periods of time or generations. The import of this verse concerning the creation story is to point out that the world of Adam was not the first world after the earth was created. Thus the two main divisions of the age of the earth according to the creation story in Genesis are:
1. When God created the heaven and the earth in the beginning and placed it above the waters (Gen.1:1; Ps.136:6) to when the earth was standing in the waters or felt into waters as seen in Gen 1:2.
2. When God made the earth and the heavens. That is, when God restored or took the earth out of the waters as seen in the works of the 6 days of Genesis One till now.
In other words, the creation story in Genesis is divided into two periods or generations. The generations of the original creation of all things, beginning from the first day of the original creation, when God created the heaven in the beginning till Gen. 1:2, before the first day of Genesis 1:3. This period runs into millions or even billions of years. And the generation of the recreation or the generation of making the earth habitable again which started from the first day of the 6 days of Genesis Chapter One. Adding these two sections, Gen. 2:4 explains; "These are the generations of the heaven and of the earth when they were created (in the beginning) and in the day (generation of 6 days) that the Lord God made (recreate) the earth and its heavens" (cloud and firmament or its expand). Thus, we can calculate the age of the earth as follows:
1. From the beginning when God created it along with the other universes in Gen.1:1 to when it became formless, void & flooded as in Gen 1:2. Number of years not stated but in millions or billions of years... ... xxx
2. The Period of the void earth, covering Gen. 1:2 to
the first day of Gen. 1:3 when God said, let there be light on
earth. Number of years not stated................................ xxx
3. The world of Adam, from Gen 1:3 to 1999 AD........................... 6200 .
Known Age of the earth, i.e, from Gen. 1:3 – 1999 A.D …………... 6200

From the above we could see that the Bible does not account for the age of the earth, which starts from the beginning of the ages as seen in Genesis Chapter one verse one but only accounts for the period of the recreation or the generation of Adam, starting from the first day of the world of Adam in Gen.1:3 to date. Thus, the Bible never says that the earth is 6,200 years old.

Now that we have known that the earth is divided into two main generations, we can ask the question, was Adam the first person to inhabit the earth? Or, let us put it this way; was Adam's world (kosmos), the first world to be established on earth after its creation? In other words, can we say that after God had created the earth in the beginning, He kept the earth void and in the waters, without inhabitants for the thousands or millions of years that constitutes the first generation of the earth as seen in Gen.1:2?

Common sense is the first reason to believe that Adam was not the first man to inhabit the earth or that the world of Adam was not the first worldly system on earth. Consider it, if after God recreated or restored the earth about 6000 years ago, man has not failed to lived in it, then it is reasonable to believe that God would not have created the earth and kept it void and in a chaotic condition for millions or billions of years without inhabitants.

Aside common sense, the purpose of God for creating the earth is the second reason to believe that God did not create the earth void and kept in a chaotic condition for millions or billions of years without inhabitants until day 6 of Genesis Chapter one. “For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos” (Is. 45:18). NLT

Third, the meaning of the word "Replenish" in Gen.1:28 is enough proof that Adam was not the first man to plenish the earth. "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it..." Gen.1:28. Replenish means; “To fill something again". Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary.

The word replenish tells us that when the earth was created in the beginning with everything in place, people plenished or inhabited the earth. But when the earth was submerged into the water before Adam was created, as we see in Gen.1:2, all the inhabitants of the earth at that time all perished. Therefore, when God took the earth out of the waters, or restored the earth above the waters again during the 6 days recreation period and created Adam, he told him to replenish the earth. If Adam was the first to live on earth, plenished the earth would have been the proper command to Adam.

Note that it was the same word that God used when commanding Noah and his family to refill the earth again after the flood of Noah. Adam's world or "Kosmos" ended with the flood of Noah. After the flood of Noah, Arphaxad, the son of Shem became the first person that was born in our present World. He was born 2 years after the flood (Gen.11:10). Had the plan of God been to kill all the old generation of humans, except Arphaxad, would it have been correct to say that Arphaxad was the first man to live on earth? No, the correct position would have been that, Arphaxad was the first man to live in our world, just as Adam was the first man to live in the restored earth. We are today living in the world of Noah but in Adam's earth which was not destroyed by the flood but shall be renovated by fire.

Fourth, it is a plain Bible teaching that in the beginning, the earth was created with everything in place (Is.45:18). That is, created perfect and standing out of the waters (Gen. 1:1) and was later brought down under flood of waters (Gen. 1:2) such that the social system or the kosmos that was then perished. "For this, they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world (kosmos) that then was being overflowed with water; perished: But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" (2pet. 3:5-7).

Thus from 2Peter 3:7-13 we could distinguish 3 earths and 3 worlds or 3 social systems on earth since its creation in the beginning till eternity. These are:

1. The earth that stood out of the water (Gen. 1:1) and in the water (Gen.1:2) whose world or social system that then was overflowed with water and its social system perished (2 Peter 3:5-6) before Gen. 1:3 or before the creation of Adam.
2. The earth that was taken out of water, or was restored in 6 days and Adam and his world or social system created which is now and shall last until the renovation by fire (V7: 10-11).
3. The New Earth and its world or social system that will be devoid of sin which shall last till eternity (2 Peter 3:13, Rev. 21:1-3).

What we have established so far is that before the world of Adam, which was established starting from Gen.1:3, there was a world that started from the beginning of time in Gen. 1:1 but was overflowed with water as seen in Gen.1:2 before the first day of the world of Adam in Gen.1:3. Who were the dwellers of the earth before Adam was created?

One false doctrine that the Europeans had brought into Christianity is that Lucifer lived in heaven with God where he rebelled before he was cast down to earth and thereafter was renamed Satan. But the Bible says that heaven is a holy place and that no defilement or sin has ever entered it (Rev.21:27). That Lucifer had lived on earth from the beginning is why the Bible refers to him as "the god of this world" and the "prince of this world" (Jn.8:44; 12:31; 14:30; Eph.2:2; ICorth. 4:4; Jon. 3:8). He is also called “the old man”, signifying he was actually the first creature of God that inhabit the earth.

The passage of the Bible generally quoted to support that Lucifer lived in heaven before he was cast down to earth is Isaiah14:12 which reads; "How art thou fallen from heaven, 0 Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground…?” Reading this alone seems to portray the notion that Lucifer was living in heaven and when he rebelled, he was cast down to the earth. But before you finished reading Isaiah 12:15, you sure would understand that Lucifer was living on earth and ruling over nations of men before determining in his heart to ascend to heaven to wage war with God and be co-ruler with God.

"How art thou fallen from heaven, 0 Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will be like the most high. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit” (Is.14:12-15).

Ezekiel Chapter 28:1-19 is another passage of the Bible that shows Lucifer was living on earth before he rebelled. Here, God was addressing the king of Tyre who according to Josephus was Ithobalus II. The pride of this man was too much such that he even claimed to be God (vs. 2, 6, and 9) just like Anti-Christ will do. After God had finished addressing the earthly king of Trye, he addressed Satan or the spiritual King of Tyre who was responsible for the pride of King Ithobalus II. From that address, which starts from verse eleven and ends in verse nineteen, we get to know where Lucifer was living before he rebelled against God.

"Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God ... thou art the anointed (or acknowledged) Cherub (Angel) that covereth (rules, protects, controls, overshadow the earth); and I have set (appointed) thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God (referring to Eden where Lucifer had his Kingdom and throne) ... thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee... Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries (a proof that Lucifer had no part in the sanctuary of God) by the multitude of thine iniquities ... Ezek. 28:13-19.

That verses 11 - 19 was not referring to Ithobalus II is clear from verse 13. King Ithobalus II never lived in Eden, the garden of God. He was not an anointed Cherub nor was he created like Adam and Angels. He was never perfect in his ways before, etc. Therefore, this passage helps us to know more about Lucifer's past. That he lived on earth in Eden. He was anointed or appointed the first ruler of the earth. That Eden was where Lucifer's kingdom or throne - seat of power or capital city was located. Here too, was the sanctuary where he, and his human subjects or nations worship God.

Now, let us reason together. Lucifer had already rebelled against God and became-Satan before the creation of Adam for he was behind the deception of Eve by the serpent. Again, when Adam and Eve sinned, they did not have children, and so there were no nations of men at the time of the fall. Since Is.14:12-14, which tells us why and how Lucifer failed says that there were nations of people whom Lucifer weakened before embarking on his war against God, it becomes important for us to establish whether the nations Isaiah Fourteen refers to were celestial nations or earthly nations. Since 2Pet.3 says that the nations of Isaiah Fourteen and its world perished, it is clear that the nations that existed on earth before Adam was created were nations of men for if they were celestial people, they would not have perished.

Lucifer must have been living on earth when saying:
(i) I will ascend into heaven. If he was living in heaven there would have been no need for him to have determined to do this. It is reasonable to believe that he was not happy or satisfied that he was only the god of this world - that his kingdom, throne and authority were only limited to ruling over nations of men on earth. So, he decided to add two higher offices to himself.
(ii) To exalt his throne above the stars of God. That is, rule over angels as well.
(iii) To sit upon the mount of the congregation - to mount the throne of heaven and receives the worship and honor usually given to God thereby being like the Most High.
(iv) "I will ascend above the height of the clouds".

From our ¬knowledge of the universe from science, we know that it is only the earth that has cloud or atmosphere surrounding it. Lucifer knew this, and so, he said, he would have to go above that, and right to heaven, to the throne of God. But before he did that, he had already succeeded in weakening the nations of men on earth. And as he embarked on his journey to heaven, he was blocked on the way and thrown back to earth. It was after the defeat of Lucifer in that rebellion that God brought judgment upon the earth that was standing out of water in the beginning and its world (kosmos) was destroyed with water and everything perished. Making the earth "without form, and void, and darkness were upon the face of the deep because God commanded the sun to stop giving its light to the earth (Gen.1:2). In that judgment;
(i) Lucifer's name was changed to Satan.
(ii) He was cut down to the ground - removed from being the ruler of the earth (Is.14:12; Ezk. 28:16)
(iii) He was disgraced before the nations that he had deceived (Ezek. 28:19).
(iv) He was condemned and to be sent to the bottomless pit, and thereafter to hellfire (ls.14:15; Ezek28:18; Rev. 20:10)
(v) The names of the 1/3 of the angels who rebelled with Satan were changed to evil spirits, angels of darkness, demons, etc.
(vi) The one-third of the angels who rebelled with Satan was to spend their eternity in hell with Satan as well. On the last day, Satan and the fallen angels shall be sent to hell according this judgment (2Pet.2:4; Jude 6; Gen.6:1-4).
(Vii) The nations of men in the earth that then was before the creation of Adam in which Lucifer was the ruler was completely overflowed with a flood that left nothing alive on earth (2 Pet. 3:6) and the earth was left in the flood of water (Gen.1:2; Ps.104:6; Jer.4:23-26) until the first day of the 6 days when God said let there be light again on earth and the Sun gave light to the earth again (Gen.1:3-5).
